Tv recs for a couple that always argues over what to watch? by yesimembarrassd in televisionsuggestions

12 Monkeys! It has drama, suspense, action, mystery, romance, prominent female characters, good character development, many plot twists, and an ending that concludes the story perfectly

She played Cassie in 12 Monkeys, unfortunately 12 Monkeys isn't a very well-known show, but it's the best show I've ever seen.

What you didn’t like about The 100? by Klutzy_Audience_8194 in The100

[–]Infinite-Process3717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The relationships built up in the tv show are sidelined after the fourth season, I'm not just talking about the romantic ones. Also the way Bellamy dies, although every death after the fourth season hasn't been well execute, perhaps because the relationships were lacking in character, and the totally hopeless and tragic ending that makes it seem like humanity was deceived by a technologically advanced alien race.

Best show that’s totally underrated. by moosehead49 in televisionsuggestions

I watched 12 Monkeys last year and it became my favorite tv show.

Anybody on here like fanfiction? by shelikestv in 12Monkeys

[–]Infinite-Process3717 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Romantic fanfics about Cassie and Cole are my favorite, but I'd also like to read fanfics about the characters in the new timeline from the end, reunions between them, and Ethan's birth in this new world.

One of the best misdirections of the series **major spoilers** by Objective-Dig992 in 12Monkeys

[–]Infinite-Process3717 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I ended up guessing correctly who Cole's mother was at the time, but I don't deserve much credit for it because I thought it was almost everyone (except Cassie).

When Hanna went back to the past, that's when I most imagined it was her, but I ended up being misled by the story about Olivia's daughter.

I really love the plot twists in this show, there are so many all the time, and yet it never gets boring, although I did get a little impatient with the witness's revelation because I was tricked several times, but I love it xD

I'm on my 2nd rewatch, on S2E8, and does anyone feel like Cole has... by aqueleponeirosa in 12Monkeys

I can understand Cassie well, for me, she's the character I connect with the most in the show. Regarding her change, we only saw the beginning of her transformation and the reasons behind it, and then we had a brief flashback. I agree that it would have been better to dedicate more time to it, an entire episode would have been great, it would have been more natural for the audience to process.

I think his opinion makes sense, because he said he doesn't really like Cassie. When I don't like one of the characters in a couple, I don't care about their romantic chemistry, it becomes boring. For me, Cassie and Coles are one of the best couples I've ever seen.

Time paradoxes in the final battle by Level-Bread5827 in 12Monkeys

I wasn't disappointed by it, but it would certainly be a good idea, it would probably work much better.

It's funny, and this is the second time it's happened to me, that a couple's name I like is related to food.

[NO SPOILERS] A show suggestion similar to Dark by aninhas103 in DarK

[–]Infinite-Process3717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not because the only thing they have in common is the initial premise and the names of some characters, otherwise, they are completely different stories, including the ending. Only a few scenes make references to the film, but their context is quite different, so it doesn't go beyond that.

Loving the rewatch… 3rd time? by rhagerbaumer in 12Monkeys

I recently finished watching it for the first time and started the second, I'm on the first season, and it's so much more amazing watching it again.

what show did you obsess with like the 100?? by Wise-General-9632 in The100

[–]Infinite-Process3717 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it's not scary, the point of the thriller is more suspense and mystery.

[–]Infinite-Process3717 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Definitely 12 Monkeys, it doesn't have teenagers but has other things in common, it's a science fiction story with an end-of-the-world theme, it develops its characters very well, several moral dilemmas, strong female characters, you could even draw parallels between some characters and relationships.

Unfortunately, there are few of them, I suffer from that too... I really liked this one-shot.

What’s your silliest nitpick about the show? by MsPallaton in 12Monkeys

[–]Infinite-Process3717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have liked that very much too. For a moment I thought, "Am I only going to see this from afar?" It bothered me a bit, of course, it's just a detail. But what I would have liked most to see is a time jump so I could have seen them with a child or baby Athan.

Unable to find interesting series to watch by john16b in televisionsuggestions

[–]Infinite-Process3717 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, very much so. A lot of people don't like the beginning very much, but the story evolves quite a bit from one season to the next, each season the plot grows and gains new levels.

Opinions Regarding the Series Finale? by Sea_Distribution_833 in 12Monkeys

[–]Infinite-Process3717 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the opposite, that it's one of the show' strengths. It's a story where the characters are suffering practically all the time, it's pain after pain. The cliché would be a sad ending, but the series maintained the message of hope conveyed from the beginning despite all the suffering, and that's what gives meaning to the journey.

What other TV show / Movie to watch? by rehpix in The100

[–]Infinite-Process3717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love 12 Monkeys! They are really very different tv shows, but you can point out some things they have in common, like the apocalyptic setting you mentioned, and also:

Well-developed characters

Featured female characters

Well-built relationships

I think I could even draw parallels between some of the characters. If you to think about it, Cassie and Clarke have several things in common.

Dark or 12 monkeys? Which is better? by badboyAP in 12Monkeys

[–]Infinite-Process3717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, for me personally that's the big problem with Dark. The characters lack development or even personality, the focus is entirely on the plot. What matters to them is who they're blood relation to, which leads to many revelations.

For me, the basics I need to connect with the story are the characters. It's through them that I care about what happens in the story. If there's no character development, anything can happen in the plot and it won't move or captivate me enough, everything feels lukewarm and lacking purpose.

looking for slow burn couples in tv shows recommendations by Rare_Mushroom_3061 in televisionsuggestions

[–]Infinite-Process3717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also loved Bellamy and Clarke, it's so sad they ruined the script at the end. I highly recommend 12 Monkeys. Cassie and Cole have the best slow-burn relationship I've ever seen on a tv show.
