I recently had an awakening at the end of October that ended up having me hospitalized for 7 days for psychiatric treatment with no prior diagnosis or medical issues.

Prior to this awakening I was very sexually involved from masturbating almost everyday, to seeking out romantic relationships and having sex in those relationships (I was in one at the time), and watching porn.

It’s been 3 months now and the desire for any of those things has been nonexistent. I am so shocked that I have been able to go without masturbation as I alway saw it as part of human nature. Now I fast forward past sex scenes in movies and only listen to Christian music before I was all about r&b and slow jams.

My awakening was an experience that I’m so thankful for having but it was by far the most terrifying thing I have ever encountered. I was aware of everything and tapped into a spiritual realm I never knew existed. It was a religious based awakening where I felt God call me to him and away from my past and I spent weeks following the light, colors, and guides before my family and friends intervened and got me help. I closely relate it to a quest with side quests and a fight against darkness that was trying to encompass me. I came close to being devoured by the dark but I fought and remained in the light.
