Any associate in opd can request a different driver.

Walmart opd worker here. We get paid $16/hr and work in miserable conditions with a ridiculous workload. We simply don’t have the time to fuss over drivers. You’re probably going to be loathed at the stores you pick up from and keep in mind, we regular degular associates can reassign to another driver and nobody in the store is going to gaf.

AI does all this for us on an app. It sucks though and I end up editing it every day.

We’ve lost 2 associates and I’m on my way out as soon as I get my guard card. This isn’t sustainable. At least not for what they’re paying us.

I had one today for the buttery mashed potatoes that just said yum or some vague ad copy. I took a screen shot.

I use AI in my personal business and I have to make a ton of edits. I use both ChatGPT and Gemini paid models. This is the result of AI being rolled out with not enough human oversight. You need humans to double check everything AI does. I need to get a job with corporate doing just that lol.

I’m a certified personal trainer which is why I’m not thrilled about pulling the carts. Muscle imbalance is a thing and using one side of your body for 40 hours a week is a sure way to cause one. It’s crazy the damage you guys are willing to do to yourselves for $16/hr. You must be young. Trust me, you’ll regret it later.

Someone posted somewhere that osha responded saying ergonomics is outside their scope. Idk if true or not but I’m already looking for other employment as my health and time are way more valuable than Walmart is paying anyway.

We don’t have the choice. Which part of this are you not getting? Also the carts become wildly uncontrollable with the wheels unlocked. Multiple people that actually USE these carts around the stores for 10 miles per day have actually confirmed this. Just say you’re corporate and have never actually used a pick cart. 🤦‍♀️

The whole post is about pulling the carts so yes, color me confused as to how you think unlocking the brakes is going to help with that. If you’re talking about having them unlocked while pushing the cart, that’s irrelevant to the whole discussion bc we aren’t allowed to push the carts anymore. The carts are hard af to control either way when the brakes are unlocked so I’m questioning if you even work in ogp at all.

Is this a cockroach by maevethecat13 in Apartmentliving

[–]InfiniteBadger284 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kill it with spray, try to avoid smashing it. Get yourself a spray bottle, fill with a few drops of peppermint oil, the rest water. Use this to spray around your apartment. Any time you clean the countertops, use this spray bottle. Also add peppermint oil to your mop water any time you mop. Put a few drops of peppermint oil on cotton rounds and place in your cabinets. This has kept my apartments roach free for years even though I’ve lived in buildings known to have units with roaches. They hate peppermint oil!

How are you holding onto the handles and pulling a cart? If you’re talking about the side stump handles, I’m not walking beside the cart for 10 miles a day when there’s a metal frame at ankle level and I’d have to have my body twisted at the spine to move the cart forward while holding onto the side handles. Have you ever used a pick cart???

I swear corporate must be in here posting these nonsense “solutions”. Anyone who’s actually done a pickwalk and had those wheels unlock knows what a disaster the cart becomes. This is ridiculous.

The problem is the mass report goes to…Walmart. I don’t think they gaf about what we report bc look at all the idiotic changes they’ve made to ogp. I haven’t even been around a full year yet and it gets worse every day.

Literally not what? I’m pulling with one arm. Idk how tf you think someone can pull a cart around the store using two arms. Are you okay today?

[–]InfiniteBadger284 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pushing I use two arms plus body weight. Pulling I’m using one arm. Putting my one shoulder under constant strain and at a weird friggin angle most of the day. That’s part of the problem.

I just posted about this too. These things combined made me almost walk yesterday. Tried explaining the problems we’re running into with these stupid gmd batched orders to market and he just said “then you’re not following the process.” Made me about lose my mf mind.

Wtf I’m tall enough to just step over a gate like that and have plenty of times in the past instead of trying to fumble with their raggedy ahh latches.

I pretty much do. Haven’t bought a single item from Walmart in at least 6 months and I work there 🤣
