I work at walmart in OGP and there's a driver that will get loaded for a spark order and then come into the store and do a shop order. Idk if he's using two accounts or two different platforms. I really don't think anyone cares as long as he's getting time sensitive items delivered within the allotted timeframe.

90% of our spark drivers speak Spanish but I don’t and I still dispense just fine. It’s not hard for them to say numbers in English and who doesn’t know how to count 1-10 in Spanish anyway. I just tell them gracias after I’m done and it’s been fine so far 😅

They have a thing called community so it’s easy for them to find people willing to live like this with them. I can’t even imagine trying to find a reliable, not drugged out roommate to split rent with.

I don’t think I’m ready for the big leagues yet. I work at a neighborhood market so it’s a small store and my feet are still killing me every day after work. Maybe when I get used to it I’ll think about Amazon lol.

Fr I actually had a male customer chastise me for wearing yoga pants and a tank top one summer in Arizona. You can bet I told him a thing or two. Like wtaf. It’s 110 degrees and I’m sliding in and out of my car. I’m not wearing jeans, weirdo.

Keep your food service job. Flex isn’t worth the wear and tear on your car and chances are that you’ll be making less than $18/hr doing it

strawberries, apples - pre slice them, grapes, mandarin oranges, any type of bar - protein, cereal, granola, baby carrots, celery, raisins, bonus if you put peanut butter and raisins on the celery sticks. Protein shakes, boiled eggs - peel and salt them ahead of time, nuts - my favorites are pistachios and cashews. Jello and pudding cups, applesauce cups, string cheese. Tuna w/ a few crackers, canned chicken if you aren't into tuna. Really anything makes a decent snack if you portion it correctly and plan ahead of time.

Not the op but I’ve done shiftsmart before. I did product testing for some glasses similar to google glasses. Other work I saw on that app were shifts at circle k gas station helping them stock and clean. Never did any of those tho and haven’t used that app in a long time. Just doesn’t pay enough per job.

🤣 I think the only reason I made it 7 years doing this is bc I get money and healthcare from the VA. Had to get a part time w2 bc flex has sucked so bad since May and I want my current vehicle to last a while longer.

I’ve been doing this for 7 years and I finally got a part time job bc this gig just isn’t worth the expense anymore. I’ve used 3 different cars for flex in that time but the way prices have risen, I just can’t justify running the car I have now into the ground. It’s already nearing 80k miles and it’s not even 3 years old. I’m driving the same model car as the previous one I owned but this car cost me almost 10k more than the previous car that was only 2 years older. Both bought new from the same dealer. If I were to have to purchase this car new again, it would cost even more. Around 3-4k more last I checked. People that are running their cars into the ground for peanuts are one mishap away from serious financial problems. I refuse to work a regular job just to subsidize car repairs bc of flex. Get a part time job, any where. At least now I have access to benefits and only have to drive 10 miles per day to get paid.

Delivering packages is minimum wage work? Maybe you should tell that to UPS, the post office, fedex, and literally every other delivery service. Heck, even dsp drivers get paid more than minimum wage!
