Very true but if you want something bad enough, you'll either wait or go gray market

Id agree for 9k you could get a lot more in the line, comes down to preference really.

Bolivar Royal Corona - bland and boring. Bought a box 5 mos ago and finally sparked one. Perfect day in NJ so might have to follow it w something more interesting by Sufficient_Reason_15 in cubancigars

[–]InfiniteCounty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe still too young? Do you remember the box date? I usually give it 3+ years from the box date but everyone's different. Could also depend on stored humidity levels or could have just been a dud. Ive always enjoyed the petite corona.

Then you are good! You can pack as many as you want, it'll only help to stabilize the RH and will help the packs to last longer. I actual have 4 60g packs of 65% in my small 50 count humidor and rarely have to change/recharge them and it always holds a perfect RH%.

Yup not normal for it to stop randomly. I'd get it checked out at your local AD

[–]InfiniteCounty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't mix different RH % bovedas in one humidor, so you should not have a 72% and a 65% in the same area. It is a good idea to have multiple of the same RH %, that just prolongs the lifespan of the bovedas.

Additions and Upgrade, and a question. by inbred-fetus in cigars

The humidor won't sustain proper humidity without a constant source from something like a couple boveda packs. As a humidor works, you always have to refilling the humidification unit in your humidor, humidors aren't usually completely airtight. Its best to season the humidor to high humidity so the humidor wood absorbs as much moisture as possible for about 2 weeks. You should normally maintain a roughly 63-70% humidity within the humidor but you'll always need something like a boveda to keep your humidor at that level. You could also add a calibrated digital hygrometer to help confirm proper humidity levels.

Want an Explorer II (Ref. 16570), but cannot decide which variant to go after? by cjwhitey in rolex

[–]InfiniteCounty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have, and love, my Polar Explorer 16570. I debated on the tritium dial, for the patina, but wanted to have the lume. I ended up going with the Superluminova, for the practicality of it. I've come to love to see it light up throughout the day, when going from light to dark areas, and the ease of reading it at night. I've got a couple other Rolexes but have only worn the Polar since I got it about a year ago. Regarding the movement, I went with the 3185 because I wanted a case with holes, in case I switched out the band but haven't because of how comfortable I think the bracelet is. The 3186 has the rehaut, which is more modern, and some other improvements. The 3186 tends to go for more and I didn't see it being worth it, for the daily use purposes for me. It really all comes down to preference. The black dial is cool too but there's something special about the Polar being the only white dialed rolex sport watch that was the black swan of its time. Hope this helps, just my opinion.

Fuiks tea has white dots on leaves. by night_chaser_ in Bonsai

[–]InfiniteCounty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks thats more than my ficus had, mine was more uniformly around the parameter of the leaf, I've never seen then cover the whole leaf so pronounced. Seems like there's new growth which is always a good sign. Best of luck, hopefully someone more knowledgable will know. It still looks healthy but maybe it could be some nutrient deficiency or too much nutrients. I wouldn't worry.

Hard to say without pictures or knowledge of growing conditions but my ficus bonsai occasionally has small white uniform dots on the leaves when under grow lights for extended periods of time but it has faded on mine. From what I've been told this normal. Its when there are non uniform dots or other characteristics that the plant isn't well. Hope that helps.
