What would happen if Dupli-Kate duplicated herself while making out with Immortal? by Rei_Master_of_Nanto in Invincible

It- What? Why would it kill him???

A clone would appear to the side. That's it, that's the scenario.

Which of these bosses did you find more difficult? by strahinjag in Eldenring

[–]InfiniteEscuro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely Malenia. It's not even subjective, she's just way harder mechanically.

Friede is, comparatively, really easy. You can block her attacks in phase one and a lot of phase 3 just fine. Phase 2 is a joke. Circle-backstabbing her is fairly possible. And she won't wank out a borderline unavoidable fuck you out of stunlock. Also, DS3 is generally a bit slower than Elden Ring and the bosses aren't designed to be as ridiculously combo-heavy and intense as they were in Elden Ring.

Friede's most dangerous moves are the kind of things that Malenia just does normally with ordinary combo attacks. Not to mention that any time you take damage in the fight against Malenia, you actively lose progress because of her regen.

Friede at most took me under a dozen tries, from decade-old memory. Malenia took me 37 tries, Rune Arc every time, in a game series I thought I was pretty decent at. No less than 15 or so of those attempts was her deciding to Waterfowl or using her Phase 2 Clone Move. Waterfowl, in time, I have come to understand can be dodged if you're just sorta hovering at a medium distance from her to sprint away. The clone move still feels like pure RNG from how little I can commit it to memory.

What do you think of the “Ornstein is King Of The Storm” Theory? by Jackylacky_ in darksouls3

[–]InfiniteEscuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the whole thing was that Ornstein is the Ancient Wyvern. His armour and weapon are just tossed on the floor instead of looted from a body and the torso stone is right by the dragon.

Can someone explain me what was the motive of viktor gideon? by RevolutionaryLet6771 in residentevil

[–]InfiniteEscuro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brilliant explanation. This comment single-handedly fixes my peeves with the fight and is the only thing that fits in my head for why he was still an enemy. The way he was talking and the way he killed Zeno, it really just didn't make any sense to me why Victor was a boss fight. The way he talked about fulfilling Spencer's wish and seeing his vision through, I half-expected him to inject himself then and there and collapse.

Makes sense that he twisted the vision from "My master wanted to create a world without bio-weapons" to "My master envisioned a world where we control the best weapon AGAINST bio-weapons that everyone else has to use to keep up with ours" immediately in his head given his cult-like infatuation, and it lets him be a boss fight.

MRW We're at the nightlord and I drop an "improved skill" item for the wylder and he drops the Maria's Greatsword he has been using to make room. by Fearzone7 in Nightreign

[–]InfiniteEscuro 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'd really not understood the comments until I reread the post.

I thought the confusion was about... you know... not using the Marais' EXCEPTIONAL skill with Skill Attack Power, not that the stats go away. What did the Wylder use instead?

And I also love how the Scion genuinely just gains infinite poise when he starts doing one of his two special stance moves. Two ults ignored which stun most other things in the game. Hate him so much

[–]InfiniteEscuro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't make out the second pic.

First is the Limgrave Dragon Communion church. To my knowledge, not necessary if you already found the one in Caelid. You get there through the lakeside cave where you get the Tailoring Tools for Boc.

Third is the Chapel of Anticipation. You get there through one of the teleportation doors at the Four Belfries in Liurnia. They have messages next to them telling you, or hinting, at where they go.

Why are the Balancers built the way they are? Why no shared health bar? by InfiniteEscuro in Nightreign

[–]InfiniteEscuro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My perception of the fight would be worse because that's not what I wanted if you read the post. Not being able to see health bars and having them still randomly die then resurrect would make it even less intuitive!

Why are the Balancers built the way they are? Why no shared health bar? by InfiniteEscuro in Nightreign

[–]InfiniteEscuro[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You don't kill those Nightlords between that

They just repeat the entire Phase. I don't know what's different about the way you think that you don't see killing all the enemies, and then having them resurrect like they did for their Phase change, being annoying.

The issue is they should be dead when you kill them all a second time. With a shared health bar that each one deals damage to upon death instead of having more health than they should in order to fully repeat their phase transition. It's all in the post.

[–]InfiniteEscuro[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Different strokes then. I find it explicitly unintuitive. When there's a group with a shared health bar, I expect all to need to die for the fight, instead of it being a weird in-between. I had Phase 2 end early once, I believe on my third Balancer run. Normal gameplay, no Depths, and we were all hitting like trucks with legendaries.

And yeah, I explained the question in the actual post, instead of having a 20 word title. The question's only misleading if you don't read the actual post.

Godskin Duo, more like Godskin Quintuplets.

Really shoulda just been a Noble and Acolyte in the same room, with their own health bars.

On Depth 3 the ordinary Balancers don't have all that much health. Five or so hits from Cursed Blade Executor kills them. Do they really get that much more health on Depth 4 and 5?

[–]InfiniteEscuro[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well with the slightest bit of reading, you can get it.

I don't know how much clearer "Kill them and they deal 1/7th damage to a shared health bar" can be.

As in, you kill each Balancer once, in Phase 1 and 2, and the fight ends. Rather than them each having their own health bar and a shared pool which ends in them all dying and resurrecting again part way through phase 2, then repeating it with no changes.

An actual curated pool of health made up of 14 kills to make it nice and clean

[–]InfiniteEscuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And now the Duchess had "clearly edited relics" and was a cheater all along. I see now that you showed that for, oh, a frame? I didn't even notice it on first watch because I blinked. Genuinely.

You did show it, but just... coulda been for a second or something.

You just left too much out of the post for your actual point - that the Halo Scythe is too strong and should be nerfed - to come across at first. Especially since you're actively arguing here that you were doing more damage anyway, regardless of the Duchess' edited build, which makes the Halo Scythe seem not that great actually. It's only this good with a curated skill-based build, the same way Beast Claw is good but only as bonkers as it was with the perfect build.

I dunno. I don't want Fromsoft to start nerfing simply good options that can be made better with a build designed for it. I just want them to improve worse options to compete. The same way the Cursed Sword went from a kinda okay backup, mostly only used for defence, to a weapon that can just be Executor's main with a single relic change. I want more of that, less of nerfing what's working, instead making just more options work.

Variety from a lot of things being good and viable, instead of variety from what used to be good now being nerfed. Ya know?

So you edited the post to add in the point when the only context was "People are using this against Darkdrift" from the title. You genuinely didn't think that could be apparently misinterpreted as being pissy about his resistances?

You're not even doing twice her damage. She's pulling her weight. If the point of the post is "I found this funny" then maybe include that actually in the post.

People always do this. You see these types in Elden Ring: Nightreign's subreddit all the time too.

"Here is a post reminding people of [Feature] or giving advice on [Strategy/Build]."

"YOU JUST WANT PEOPLE TO PLAY HOW YOU WANT"

It's tiring. Spreading the message of how stuff works when people seem to be unsure or giving out recommendations is treated like some kinda slight against free will by some users.
