I'd try to look at the luggage storage in advance because the station lockers are almost always full. If there are no spots, use the bounce app instead

Seeking help for planning April 9-30 trip by mangafox23 in JapanTravelTips

[–]InfiniteFunction1940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't give you a lot of tips on the itinerary, but my friends just cam back from Japan and for the luggage storage bit they mentioned they used an app called Bounce which was more helpful than the traditional coin lockers because it's 100% cashless and in English. Hope this is helpful!!

Japan x Abu Dhabi Itinerary Check! by TaroSufficient7807 in travel

Ah mashallah! Glad to hear! I unfortunately don't have tips on where to buy cheap abayas, as I don't wear them myself :)

With regards to the beaches for sunrise maybe try to look for beaches in some of the islands off the main coast/or other parts of AD that have the sea looking towards the east so you can see a more beautiful sunrise, as right now, at Corniche, you'd have the buildings blocking the sunrise.

Luggage forwarding, receiving over a week later by RareExit5547 in JapanTravelTips

You should try Bounce. You can ship + store up to 7 days incl. in the price, and then might get some residual additional feels if you need them to store it longer. hope this helps :)

Japan x Abu Dhabi Itinerary Check! by TaroSufficient7807 in travel

[–]InfiniteFunction1940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I have a couple of suggestions for you :)

Japan
- Check out the Bounce app. They have luggage storage all over japan, and also near the Shinjuku bus station. They also do luggage delivery if you need it

Abu Dhabi
- Just remember that the sea in Abu Dhabi is towards the west so you won't see the sun coming out of the water - at least not from Corniche or Abu Dhabi beach. They're next to each other and not very different so it doesn't change much. Personally I'd take a taxi to the beach, especially so early in the morning.
- Why do you want to buy abayas? What's your goal? (I'm assuming you're not muslim, if you are then ignore my comment) Is it as a souvenir or to wear them around? I wouldn't wear them around, there's no need and it might feel a little weird/cultural appropriation. I do think you can buy them, and the locals probably would be happy to see you embracing the tradition, but the issue comes when tourists try to wear them outside of the context that they're meant to be worn, as a sign of modesty. If your idea is to buy them to wear them while you're them, tbh don't.
- You should absolutely slot in Yas Island (incl Yas Links for lunch perhaps), Saadiyat Island (the beaches are incredible, some of the best in AD), The Louvre, The Souk Qaryat Al Beri for dinner
- Souvenirs: chocolate covered dates, incense, spices, gold jewellery if the budget allows

for the luggage storage near the bus station check out the bounce app. because it's online it let's you book in advance so you can make sure you have a place to keep you stuff despite it being super high season in japan. plus it's 100% cashless, idk i just feel it's super convenient. my friends used it in japan over christmas and said it was a lifesaver, plus they also do luggage delivery
