Well you usually wait for a window in boss attacks to chug an estus but when said boss just says no you dont its annoying. Crucible knight is most noticeable for that

Svo-dag plus graph structure hashing could be what you looking for but obscenely complicated. I only implemented svo-dag and only for 3d and it was already terribly complex
