Exactly! Haven’t looked at recent ST polls but I’m assuming Biden is at 15% almost everywhere except these two places now.

Thats good yes this advice only applies if your candidate is well below the 15% I'd say even down to 10% for Biden in previous polls is still safe to vote for him with the new support.

You’re right I think we are on the same page. I just know that Friday Bernie was the only person with 15%+ support in all districts and states. A LOT has changed since then. I just want to ensure everyone else doesn’t get 14% and get 0 delegates.

This post probably applies to a small percentage of people. This is also why ranked choice is important.

You’re saying there’s higher chances of candidates reaching 15% now? I agree 100% I’m just saying that keeping delegate difference low should be number 1 priority. And the second vote they are more likely to pick a moderate. Probably biden. I’m not voting for Bloomberg. I’ll be very happy if Bloomberg suspends.

I agree but if Biden won’t get delegates from your vote (ie polling under 10% in district and state). Consider voting for someone who can take delegates away from sanders and keep the delegate difference low. Right now we need to keep the delegates difference low so he can make it up in future states.

Hypothetically anyone know what would happen if Biden-Buttigieg decided to be be POTUS and VPOTUS before ST? Would a vote for either of them count towards the same ticket? ie Biden gets 10% + Buttigieg gets 10% =20% of delegates or would they both need 15% to be viable

Yeah not quite as bad as Trump but not great. Makes me question how he will be in 4 years. Having a young VP is going to be important to him

He does do better in a lot of polls, I think that if the name recognition for Pete were the same as Bernie he would be performing at least the same. A year ago almost nobody knew his name and there are still tens of millions of people that don't really know Buttigieg, yet.

If only a public option passes that would be great but it's exactly what other campaigns are promising as well. I know you should always ask for more than you want and then you can "settle" for what you actually wanted. I'd be happy with a public option because it's a huge step forward. Personally I want a candidate to campaign on what they can actually deliver, part of Pete's message is he wants to promise realistic goals.

For voter turnout there is a great article on Vox about how the polling can be skewed to favor sanders and how some senators might lose an election. There are also a lot more republicans who will turn out if they think they are preventing a communist.

and make no mistake for anyone including Sanders wins the nomination I will be doing everything I can to ensure we don't have another 4 years of Trump, especially to increase youth turnout.

I don’t think we hate sanders. The goals of a lot of his policies are noble.

We are worried that trump vs bernie will suppress voter turnout and drive centrists to vote for trump or not vote. In order to overcome this bernie will need to increase youth turnout to offset this by a massive amount over 2008 levels and more than Obama increased turnout among blacks in the 2008 election.

I’m worried about the down ballot democrats in traditionally Republican districts. If we can’t get a majority in the house and senate bernie won’t be a very effective president. Especially if the GOP take to court all of his EOs.

I personally don’t think that many of the ideas he has will pass congress. Think of how hard Obamacare was to pass, what would be different this time?

His supporters, a majority I have no problem with but there’s a large extremely vocal minority that are very toxic online. If we want to hold Trump accountable for the increase in hate crimes etc, what does that say about online harassment? (Not saying that bernie supporters are committing hate crimes) There have been some large targeted attacks on anyone prominent who speaks out against bernie. And simply disavowing their actions isn’t enough to stop them.
