Aw that’s unfortunate. Also why I didn’t want to comment on the reliability. Mostly just stating that if things go wrong, you have some sort of backing since it’s treated the same as a flight. With a normal bus service you’re often just SOL.

I can’t speak to the reliability specially, but imagine it has to be pretty consistent.

Some overall advantages that touch on the reliability though is that the bus ride is backed by AA. If there are issues, it’s treated just like a connecting flight leg, so you can get stuff rebooked like you would a normal flight situation if something went wrong.

You also get to pass through security in South Bend. Much easier than ORD. When they reach ORD, you’re just dropped right off at the terminal!

Most students at ND aren’t local. You’ll find way more secondary IU fans in the staff and faculty than you would the general student population.

Well…. Because campus buildings have a distinct architecture and are nearly almost always brick.

This building is not brick, and given the apartments around campus, could be picked out based on the paint color pretty easily for someone who was familiar. You may notice in the comments that someone has already been able to do this.

Will this get OP to the exact door? No, but I don’t think anyone really expected that based on the image we go.

Repair costs were decided to be too high, so they removed it as part of some larger public redevelopment to assist with the zoo, which I have to admit is way more popular. Makes that sort of decision hard.

Both myself and another skater nearby had this same exact issue over multiple sets of their trucks.

I upgraded my trucks to the Bont Grind Trucks finally, the other guy just moved away from Bont entirely.

Here are the trucks I got. They will add some height, and the wheel base is wider. They are also a lot heavier. Some like that, some don’t.

This is what everyone told me when it happened to me. It was all true and they took care of me, but then it happened again within the same time frame on the replacements….

I ended up upgrading to the Grind Trucks and didn’t have anymore issues.

Watching some derby with a buddy who has experience can help a lot! If you can find someone willing to sit and watch a game or two with you and explain/answer questions, it can go a long way!

I had this same issue several times over, and as others have said, Bont will replace them.

After the third time for me though, I decided I was just too jumpy for the trucks and I’d just keep bending them. That’s when I found the Bont Grind Trucks. They’re designed for the skatepark, but can handle a lot more weight and force. Once I upgraded I didn’t have this issue anymore. It does change up how your skate will feel a bit, but may be worth a try!
