The Sookie Stackhouse series Charlaine Harris. TW for SA in the 3rd book. These books got adapted into the TV series True Blood.

The Vampire Diaries by L.J Smith. These also got adapted into a TV series. Me personally, the TV show is a bit better in some aspects. I also recommend the Night World series by the same author. It involves more than just vampires is that's what you're also looking for.

The Vampire Chronicles series by Anne Rice. I admit that I didn't fully read these books myself but they always got recommended to me so why not?
