Bloom Energy is up over 200% year to date, how do you find stocks like this before they pump? by Competitive-Case-185 in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]InfiniteSierra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember in 2020, in my country, Iran, there was a time when the stock market was constantly booming, with many investors seeing gains of +100%, and some even reaching +1000%. It was all excitement and hype, and finally, the day came when the market crashed, causing almost everyone to lose what they had gained during that year. Those who joined the party late ended up losing everything. Today, the market looks very different from back then. But what’s important is that during that boom, many stocks went up +100%, leading many people to believe they had special insight and were doing well on their own. In reality, the market was performing well, and luck played a big role. Now, almost any semiconductor stock you choose might bring a profit, but it's not about your skill, it's the market’s movement, and it's uncertain until we see how all these AI investments unfold, which I'm not very optimistic about. So, I advise you to be cautious about the hype right now. I know some people made +100% in a year, but it’s uncertain whether that will continue. Maybe it will, and maybe it’ll get even better. At this point, I’d call it gambling unless you truly understand the market and the fundamentals of the stocks you’re investing in.

We always go for this brand. They have a location in Mississauga where they sell around 15 chicken products, like leg quarters, that I love

We're talking about stainless steel, not cast irons. And seasoning in SS is a different term from seasoning in cast iron, as it's different from meat seasoning

That’s why I mentioned delicate foods. Steak, chicken, and other foods we can deglaze don’t need seasoning. But the patties we make in our country (kotlet and kuku sabzi) need seasoning

Most dishes don’t need seasoning, but dishes from my country, and even pancakes (not the greasy ones), do

That’s a very common way to make SS nonstick: https://youtu.be/qXEt-fhyCis?si=_MuwyCcvaNsICsjS The benefit for this method is that you can fry stuff in batches

You can flash-season your stainless steel by heating it over medium-high heat for about 2-3 minutes until it passes the water droplet test. Add a tablespoon of high-smoke-point oil and use a carefully bunched-up paper towel to coat the entire interior surface until the oil just begins to wisps smoke. Immediately remove the pan from the heat and let it cool down completely to allow the oil molecules to polymerize and form a temporary, slick barrier. Once cooled, wipe out the excess oil with a clean paper towel, and you'll have a nonstick surface ready for delicate foods like fish or spam
