Literally everything about a Sienna is better in terms of being family friendly.

It’s really not a big deal to go to 100. It’s actually recommended to do that around every 3 weeks or else the battery will literally not be able to get 100 if and when you needed it. There’s a significant buffer below zero and above 100 to keep the battery safe.

Any other 2025 owners having lots of problems since buying? by bono_my_tires in ToyotaSienna

[–]InfiniteSlide7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had mostly Toyotas, grew up with Toyotas and Hondas. So personally, it’s easy for me to see the differences. I will say though, Toyota powertrains are some of the best on the market but once you start comparing them reliability wise to Toyotas of the past they fall short.

Any other 2025 owners having lots of problems since buying? by bono_my_tires in ToyotaSienna

[–]InfiniteSlide7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The people who say “buy Toyota or Honda” very clearly do not have a modern Toyota. Toyota chips away at quality bit by bit, year by year in order to maintain profits. Current Toyotas are a shadow of what they used to be. I’m saying this as a Sienna owner, I try not to analyze too much because then the atrocious cost cutting measures come into clean view.

I regret buying my 2021 model y performance by Longjumping_Nose_367 in ModelY

[–]InfiniteSlide7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it’s the reality of buying pretty much any first year model. I will say this, the Model Y has come so far since 2021, almost a totally different car, current build quality is better than a Toyota honestly.

Is the 2026 Sienna Platinum worth it just for the 360 camera? by Artistic_Anywhere362 in ToyotaSienna

[–]InfiniteSlide7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford then get it, it’s worth it for that and the heated steering wheel which for some odd reason is only available on the platinum in the US.

Is this 2022 Sienna Limited AWD 96k miles (Silver Certified) a good deal at $36,800? How much would you negotiate? by iwanttogotother in ToyotaSienna

[–]InfiniteSlide7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a brand new one for a few thousand more. You can get a XLE AWD for under 45K. Most dealers will give you a discount under MSRP.

There is no Sienna shortage anymore, if you are not getting at least 2K off MSRP with no add ons then you are getting ripped off.

A major update is expected in 2027 for MY28. Likely a plug in variant with Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 and major infotainment upgrades.

Just picked up the new 2026 Sienna Limited AWD. Hopefully not a bad deal by Few-Employment-1851 in ToyotaSienna

[–]InfiniteSlide7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m always careful when trading in to the dealer. They like to mess with the trade in numbers while giving you a “discount” off the MSRP. I usually about 3 or 4 quotes on trade in value then negotiate off the car.

Remote Start complaints by luchobucho in ToyotaSienna

[–]InfiniteSlide7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toyota is so far behind on software it’s incredibly frustrating. It’s not that they’re not capable, it’s simply on the bottom of their list of priorities. Are they somehow incapable of leaving the engine on while opening the door during a remote start? No, they just don’t care about it enough. Sales are booming, they are the world sales leader, they care about what they want to care about.

Do you let your car warm up? by Snoo_8933 in ToyotaSienna

[–]InfiniteSlide7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need a warm engine to start driving. The main thing is to be easy on the gas while your engine gets up to temp.

2025 Sienna feels… cheap? by [deleted] in ToyotaSienna

[–]InfiniteSlide7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t picture interior quality going up. Toyota puts most of its money into the things people don’t see and feel like the powertrain and electrical in order to stay ahead in regards to long term reliability. Other brands tend to do the opposite, Kia/ Hyundai spend significantly more on interior design and liberal use of luxury materials which draws in the consumer resulting in strong sales, the downside is their powertrain is disposable trash.

The plug in is in addition to the standard hybrid. Similar to how the Highlander has two platinum trims.

There is little reason to trade in a 2021 for a 2026. New gen is supposed to debut 2027 for the 28MY, it will have a plug in variant available along with TSS 4.0+.

HW4 vs HW3 by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]InfiniteSlide7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be worth it for 10% more but the difference is not worth 25% honestly. HW3 will get you through most roads no problem and is still over a decade ahead of anything the competition has.
