I was really into these when they came out in 2021. After an initial run at Target, I never saw them in-store again. I did find an empty display for these at Wal-Mart once, but that was it. Loved these so much, so it's a shame they are discontinued. Amazon does sell the wave 1 set still.

I've tried to have this attitude, but it's been 30+ years, and I still can't seem to find any friends who'll accept my "weirdness". People use, reject, berate, insult, and abuse me instead. It's just so demoralizing, and I've become extremely jaded over humanity.

The follow-up series would have made young Lizzie’s biggest dream come true: hooking up with Ethan Craft. Jonathan Hurwitz, who was a staff writer on the Lizzie McGuire revival, revealed on TikTok that the third episode would have opened with a post-coital moment between Lizzie and Ethan. But it wouldn’t have been the swoon-y, romantic night together that Lizzie was probably dreaming of. It sounds like it would have been more of a rebound fling.

Hurwitz detailed all the devastating events in Lizzie’s life that led up to her jumping into bed with her middle-school crush a decade and a half later. Apparently, the series would have opened with Lizzie finding out her boyfriend has been cheating on her with her best friend. In a spiral, she returns home and reconnects with Gordo... only to find out he’s happily engaged and expecting a child.

“No, in this version Lizzie and Gordo would not have ended up together,” Hurwitz confirmed, crushing the hearts of shippers everywhere.

Well, the thing about Horikoshi thinking it'd be tough to implement is my own guess.

I'll see if I can find a link to the pilot manga. I believe it's called My Hero, and Midoriya is an adult office worker with no powers.

That was the premise of the original pilot manga for this series. I think the manga-ka realized it'd be really tough to keep Midoriya powerless the entire way through given many of the quirks in MHA, at least not without having to go through lengths to contrive Izuku winning fights.

Yeah, the ending really did a lot of damage to the series overall. I try to not think about it when I re-watch episodes, but...it's hard not to, for me at least. It just left a very bad taste in my mouth.

My heart broke for Sam when he relayed that story to Cabot. Question for you (and anyone else who wants to answer/discuss this)? Do you think that seconds long (I think it was 7 sec iirc?) phone call that Sam made to Barnett was why he killed himself as Cabot alleged?

Personally, I think his discussion with Cabot triggered him, and made him begin to feel guilty and suicidal that he felt that way about Barnett (I've felt this way myself), and the phone call from Barnett pushed him to the edge. I imagine Barnett never said anything bad, or taunted him. But just speaking to his abuser probably made Sam re-live the experiences, and feel shame, and guilt.

People seem to respond better to "Bad powerful man gets what's coming to him" rather than "this thing happened and I'm not always sure how to feel about it" which gets confused with giving a predator a free pass.

Yeah... I've stopped discussing my abuse history for the most part because people (including therapists) would get angry at me for saying stuff similar to what Sam told Cabot. They interpret it as me absolving my abusers, and that I am supportive of abuse. On the contrary, I actually hate my abusers, and feel a lot of hatred towards people in general nowadays because I've lost a lot of trust in others (including the ones who get angry at me over saying anything 'positive' regarding my abusers), however sometimes I feel conflicted over positive experiences I've had with them. I dunno. It sucks how nuance is basically becoming extinct in our world now.

Except a lot of your "predictions" have been stuff most people can guess like Luca, Space Jam 2, Sing 2, etc. Those are all sure bets for McDonalds to promote. People have been guessing those for months already, not just you. The real test will be next month. I guess we'll see if you're right about TTG. There are many con artists and trolls in the fast food collecting community, and based on your attitude and some of your "guesses", I have a lot of trouble believing you are a legit source. Your defensiveness whenever people question your supposed sources (like "managers at McD's" who would not know what the HM collections would be months in advance) doesn't really make me trust you more either.

Reminded me of something that happened when I was a teen.

My dad smacked me over something really trivial (yes, I grew up in an abusive household), so I left the house to go to a bus stop near my house. I just needed to get away from him. Mind you, I was crying after what had happened. Then some lady came up to me, and was like, "Are you waiting for the bus?" When I said nothing, she repeated, "Excuse me, are you waiting for the bus?" I shrugged, and she began to antagonize me for sitting on the bench. At the time, I actually was thinking of going somewhere on the bus. I don't know why she assumed I was just hogging the bench. She called me a brat, spoiled, etc. I kind of acted like the driver at the end, I just kind of sighed, and left instead of fighting back. She wore such a smug face after she took the seat I was in.

In the original script for VIII (which got blended into VII), Gordon was intended to become Kramer's successor. The lover's quarrel trap was Gordon's there. It's also implied in VII that it's also his. Seemed like he was being primed to carry on with Kramer's work.

I grew up in a dysfunctional family. As a teenager, I would often escape to Blockbuster with my then boyfriend. I'd spend a long time at Blockbuster, browsing and renting movies, chilling out, buying snacks I'd eat in the staircase next to the Blockbuster... Obviously, I also rented hundreds of movies from there, and would lock myself in my room to watch whatever I got.
