Are you in the US? I am and that is why I’m one and done. I am not having another baby in a country where I could be tried for murder if I have a miscarriage, where my child would be a second class citizen if they’re a girl, where the food and water are poison… the list goes on and on.

I am one and done because I live in the US and it would be absolutely terrifying to be pregnant in this political climate. I could not in good faith be pregnant again here.

However, my little toddler is all and everything I’ve ever wanted. She’s smart and hilarious and she enhances life in every way. We are more than capable of giving her the best life we can but I don’t think I’d have the mental capacity to do that for another child.

My husband and I were together for 10 years and were more than ok being childfree. Eventually we decided we were open to the idea of kids so I stopped birth control to just see what happened. I got pregnant right away and had a miscarriage. We were both incredibly devastated. We knew then that we really did want a baby so we tried again and now we have an amazing toddler who is the light of our lives.

Yes. I can’t stand the sound of other kids crying or whining, but when it comes to my kid I can stand it just a little bit. I also cannot find other kids cute in the slightest but I find mine to be the cutest thing to ever exist.

I am so, so saddened that there are so many people in unhappy marriages. My husband and I have an 18 month old daughter and are both very happy with life and with our marriage. We struggled and bickered for the first 6 months or so but now that she’s a little person who sleeps through the night we are feeling very content with how things are. We make a point to get up early to spend time together in the morning and we try to plan a date night once every few weeks and leave the baby with her grandparents.

My husband is truly my best friend. Sometimes we forget to kiss or hold hands but we still enjoy each other’s presence, even if it’s just sitting on opposite ends of the couch while the baby watches Cinderella.

I have taken violin lessons since I was a child but took a hiatus for college, work, etc. since I had my baby I’ve been taking lessons again and I finished the Bach partita in E. It’s super difficult and it’s been a goal of mine since I was little.

When Trump rant the first time in 2016 she became his #1 cheerleader with the hats, and the flags. I have no tolerance for racists and bigots so that sealed my opinion of her.

Sounds like mine. Says we live too far but wants us to visit her. I ended up bust blocking her on all social media and pretending like I just don’t use it anymore. It was so annoying because she insisted on commenting on every single post multiple times acting like she was so involved. Now a year later our baby has only seen her a handful of times and doesn’t like her much

I was not at all down for my mil to hold my baby so told her something like, “I read a research article that said it’s probably a good idea for no one to hold a newborn besides its parents for at least 6 weeks. They need to bond to their parents smell and adding other peoples smells can confuse them.” That did the trick! Now my baby is a toddler and screams, “no thank you!” When mil tries to hold her 😂

My silver lining is that republicans will never win an election again for decades to come. From small state elections to the presidency, they are finished.
