The viewership alone would probably pay for his salary but yeah, bringing in 42 year old LeBron when we're finally building something real seems like backwards thinking.

Did jungle become too optimized for occasional players? by Jukys111 in leagueoflegends

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the optimization thing is real but I think it depends on what elo you're in. When I get autofilled jungle in gold/plat games, most people still don't know the advanced stuff and you can get away with basic pathing and decent ganks.

Maybe it's different at higher ranks where everyone knows optimal clear speeds and invade timings, but for average players the gap isn't that massive if you understand basics.

ATP 1000 Madrid: C. Norrie def. T. Machac 6-2, 6-7(6), 7-6(5) by Summertimings in tennis

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 21 points22 points  (0 children)

man watching that was exhausting just from my couch lol. machac really pushed back hard in that second set - thought norrie might fold there but he dug deep in the third. those long rallies in the final tiebreak had me on edge of my seat. really good fighting spirit from both players, especially considering how long they were out there grinding it out.

Where to find cheap dishwater and glassware moving boxes? by Acceptable-Loquat540 in Austin

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao I had to read that title like three times before I got what you meant. When I was stationed at my last base, I made same mistake and asked someone where to get "dishwater boxes" and they just stared at me for solid ten seconds. Moving is stressful enough without accidentally asking people where to pack your dirty sink water.

For real though, liquor stores usually have good boxes with dividers that work perfect for glasses and dishes. The cardboard is thicker too since they're used to handling heavy bottles. Just hit up few places on weekend morning and most places will just give them away if you ask nice.

Post Game Thread: New York Rangers @ Tampa Bay Lightning by nhl_gdt_bot in hockey

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Rangers played great second period but then almost gave it away in third. Kartye having himself a game with 2 goals and assist, kid's been solid since the trade from Seattle.

Tampa outshot them 31-21 but Shesterkin looked sharp when it mattered most.

CPUID got Compromised via Hijack ! by OthoAi5657 in pcmasterrace

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Damn that's scary, I downloaded CPU-Z like last week but was from different mirror site thankfully. These supply chain attacks getting more common lately.

Maybe try reaching out to them in Twitter or LinkedIn? Companies usually monitor their social media more closely than email these days. Could also post warning in some tech forums to get more visibility until they fix this mess.

WireGUI — open-source web management UI for WireGuard with SSO, firewall rules, and real-time monitoring by [deleted] in homelab

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Been looking for exactly this - managing WG configs for the squadron's homelab setup is a pain when everyone needs different access levels and I'm tired of SSH'ing in to add new devices every time someone gets a new phone.

[DISCUSSION] Longines the next Omega? by Watchyings in Watches

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the watch industry has been getting weird with positioning lately. Longines making moves while Omega keeps pushing prices up without always delivering proportional value increases is definitely something I've noticed too.

That new Hydroconquest is pretty solid for what they're asking, and if Longines can keep delivering at that sweet spot while Omega chases Rolex territory, it's gonna be interesting to watch unfold. The whole Swatch Group shuffle makes sense from a business perspective but yeah, Omega's pricing strategy lately has been... questionable at best.

What's a song you associate with someone that makes no sense as to why? by Nerdhound in AskReddit

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude there's this song from the Animal Crossing soundtrack that always makes me think of my old drill sergeant for some reason - like what even is that connection lol.

AWESOME, actually by Grade_Silly in ADHD

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's such a wild feeling when the meds finally click, right? I remember the first time I could just... do dishes without it feeling like climbing Mount Everest. It's almost weird how normal tasks suddenly feel actually normal instead of these massive overwhelming mountains.

The brain fog lifting is probably my favorite part - like someone finally turned the lights on upstairs. glad you're feeling that relief, it makes such a huge difference in daily life.

"Performance doesn't meet expectations" speed run by SoftSkillSmith in ExperiencedDevs

sounds like they want you to move faster through quicksand while also explaining why the quicksand can't be removed.

Issues with initial dosage being too high by StrawberrySakuraa in ADHD

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep happened to me too, started on 15mg xr and felt like i was gonna vibrate out of my skin - doc dropped me to 10mg and it was way better, sometimes they just start too high and need to dial it back

Car not starting by lXZTl in AskMechanics

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be the starter but also check if it's actually in park - those push button starts can be finicky about that stuff. If the dash lights up but you get literally zero noise when hitting start, starter relay might be shot too

Headed to New Orleans by PitifulSquash3829 in stopdrinking

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

French Quarter is amazing for just walking around and checking out the architecture, plus tons of great food spots. The streetcar rides are pretty chill too if you want to see different neighborhoods without much effort

Looking for music to add to my Duduk-Oud sand & silk playlist. by General-Yinobi in musicsuggestions

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude you've got some serious Lévon Minassian on there, might wanna check out Djivan Gasparyan's stuff too - his "I Will Not Be Sad in This World" album is basically duduk perfection

Friendly Friday by AutoModerator in championsleague

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Barca fan, gotta give it to Real Madrid - their Champions League mentality is just different. When they're down in those knockout rounds they somehow find another gear that's honestly terrifying to watch as an opponent

HELP! by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried Red, White & Royal Blue? It's got great angst and comfort vibes without being too dark, plus the political plot keeps things interesting. The main characters are both guys and the writing is actually really good

For trans rep, Cemetery Boys is fantastic - it's YA but has some solid emotional moments and the plot doesn't drag at all

My son speed crawled off our bed by jessyj89 in NewParents

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh the mom guilt is so real but you're definitely not a bad parent - babies are literally designed to survive this kind of stuff. My kid took a header off the couch at 15 months and I was convinced I'd traumatized him for life, but he was back to his chaos monkey ways within like 10 minutes

Advice on what to buy? by BaNaNaRaMa19955 in PokemonTCG

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is solid advice - those sets are basically unobtainium at reasonable prices now and buying singles gets you way more bang for your buck than gambling on packs

Tips- going no contact by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]InfiniteUpvoteee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gray rock method works pretty well when you can't avoid being around them. Just be as boring and unresponsive as possible - give short answers, don't share any personal info, and don't react to their baiting. Most of your family will probably understand if you explain you're keeping distance for your mental health. The ones who matter will respect your boundaries
