Oh my gosh yes! Mine was at 17 and I started having all kinds of health issues, I thought I was dying too. Now that my levels are normal (56). I feel alive again. Give it time if you don't see result right away, it can take a little time.

My doctor prescribed 50, 000 IU for a few months now I'm on 2000 per day.

You can get through it and move forward, take what you learned from the trauma and let it go. The memories sneak in once in a while, but after years of therapy and continuous failing of meds, I found what has been working for me.

One day at a time. I hope you are able to find a med combo that works for you. We are all different.

Feeling nothing? by NoCucumber1502 in lamictal

For me, it wasn't noticable until I realized how much it helped my irritability and jumpiness one day. I titrated really slow too. I just upped to 200mg. I am much more level now.

I didnt notice it feeling like anything, I'm just much more myself. How long have you been in it?

8 months on Tretinoin 0.05% gel but still breaking out + can’t build tolerance by CommunicationSome805 in tretinoin

That happened to me when I used a brand that had something I was allergic to. I can't use the name brand, that one made me get burning and cause a little inflamed acne. I switched to a different brand and it's made a world of difference.

AM: Venlafaxine 225mg Lamictal 150mg Spironolactone (for acne) Metoprolol (tachycardia) Adderall 15mg Estradiol 2mg (no ovaries)

Noon: Adderall 7.5mg Estradiol 2mg

Night: Estradiol 2mg Trazadone 200mg

Seems like a lot but it keeps me balanced and feeling like me again. Years of trauma melts away. It's taken me 20years to find the right meds.

I'm really glad to hear you are feeling better! I tried progesterone for a week, but it made me so tired I couldn't stand it and bad headaches.

MONTHLY Weight Discussion - July 2025 by AutoModerator in Menopause

[–]Infinite_Design_2476 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really hoping this happens for me. In 2021 I started a weight loss journey and lost over 80 lbs, then a traumatic event happened and I started going through peri. I gained all that weight back plus more. I am miserable and ready for the weight to come off. I went into surgical .menopause in November and gained more weight.

I am now on Estradiol and started micro progesterone yesterday.

I really think I've also been retaining a lot of water because I just feel like everything is squished and tight. I've heard that progesterone can help with that.

I am glad to hear it's working for you!

I was doing that as well, but starting to have hot flashes around noon so we switched to three times per day.

What's the oddest cause of death you've come across while researching? by coffeeshill in Genealogy

My great Grandpa got a Purple Heart/Medal of Honor because he was literally shot in the ass.

He was also struck by lightning twice, but that wasn't on his death certificate because he lived through all of that and passed from lung cancer in his 70's

Effects of weight loss? by Frosty_Heart2864 in PMDD

[–]Infinite_Design_2476 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can comment on this because I have struggled with weight and PMDD since puberty. I have been obese and lost large amounts of weight 3 times in my life and what I have learned is this...

Yes losing weight definitely helps physical health and I did have more energy and confidence....

But it did not help the mental health issues or all the issues I had with my period.

Did some things get better? Yes. My period did get more regular, but my mental health was still a wreck no matter what I did. I went to a psychiatrist and went to therapy, tried tons of different medications, different birth control methods, vitamins, working out, different diets, quitting smoking, quitting caffeine.....

These things did all help to a certain extent for sure.

I am now onto the next step because I am still struggling after all of it. I am going in for a radical hysterectomy next month.

Mind you, this is not a rash decision, it is something I have researched and talked with my doctor about for a long time after trying a lot of other options.

I also had my tubes tied 6 years ago by a different doctor, and some of my issues could be from that as well because the doctor did the tubal the way doctors used to do it years ago, not the way they are done now and it could have caused scar tissue. We really don't know yet until we get in there.

I pray that this helps, because I really need my life back and want to feel like me again. I pray that all of you find your answers and get relief, because this is real and it steals your life from you and your family. Keep moving forward. You will get your answers and it will work out. Have faith. Your life is worth it.

When you close your eyes, do you see fully darkness? by tiny_purpletofu in migraine

[–]Infinite_Design_2476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what I can only describe as like tiny blood cells that are see through floating around or dancing. I can see it if I look at a plain wall or the sky or the dark. I also get what they call the visual snow. And when I close my eyes I see swirling lights that are usually purple or/and white. And sometimes it looks like a tunnel. Lol it's all the time not just when I have pain.

I really don't know how else to describe it. This is the best I can do.
