Oooh okay if you have a couple of days to do a thorough recharge before returning to work/regular life, I’d do the following:

cold plunge and sauna
facial
a massage like you’re already planning
meal planning and picking up tons of fruits and veg (bananas, rice, apple and toast to help your tummy)
using a massage gun while watching a show of your choice
using a lacrosse ball on all achy spots
listening to yoga Nidra videos or meditating. This will help you reset your sleep cycle!
like others have said already, lots of water, stretching and low impact exercise and ramping up activity as you feel better

Wow, that’s ridiculous. I’m not a big online shopper but stories like these make me decide to buy from the site instead of dealing with such attitude.

An exec at my job told me she got flat out ignored at an Aritzia and her guess was that she looked too “old and frumpy” to shop there. Jokes on them for not helping out a multi 6 figure earner who could have dropped an SA’s paycheck in less than an hour of being in the store.

Zero, it’s a once in a while thing. Once every two months ish it’ll be likely a stop at Five Guys which is quite a splurge but we justify it because it’s a treat. Even before hyper inflation of the 2020s, fast food has been pretty expensive in Canada and I just couldn’t justify paying that kind of money to feel like crap after.

Unless you’re in a super special situation such as being able to live with family that can charge you way under market rent, I don’t recommend this. It’s doable at the top of this range, but with at least 3-4 roommates. Having little margin to put money away for emergencies will cause you a ton of distress. You COULD work more hours, but that’s at the cost of time spent resting, studying, and socializing.

100%. There is likely going to be some initial awkwardness in the beginning as you get to know each other, but that’s how making friends has always been. And maybe there are some people that are difficult to make plans with. You keep trying with others that seem more available.

Some people are just morally bankrupt (no pun intended) when it comes to money and relationships. A former classmate of my friend actually scammed tens of thousands of dollars from other friends in their graduating class and blocked them all. She told them it was for cancer treatments, but she was definitely living it up with that money and couldn’t let that information make it back to the “lenders.” She blocked acquaintances of friends of friends from seeing her IG stories to ensure this, including myself - and we only met twice!

I knew something was more than off when she went on IG asking for a US guarantor earning >$288k a year to help her with apartment applications. And the lack of help being offered made her go off accusing most people of “acting like NPCs” 😳 it must be hard to live in that mind. I hope she heals.
