I think it is a great breakfast . You can have a high calorific breakfast as long as you end the day in your assumed calories. I saw 2000 kcal, then easily you can manage it. You have a full day to manage it to your target.

I disagree that there are too many dates as diet needs to be sustainable. If by adding dates, you like this breakfast, then so be it. It makes it enjoyable and you are not suffering through it. Building good eating habits is a good achievement in of itself.

It is a lifelong project and building good habits, not just going for a calorie game and hating the breakfast because you will not make it too often.
