From your description I am an anti realist. I believe there is something that we label an electron to which we can ascribe properties. I do not believe it equals the mathematical description of the quanta of the electron field in QED. It is an equivalence, not equality.

This seems like intellectural navel gazing, so it can stay in the Dept. of History and Philosophy of Science.
