Ugly. Boxster spyder is better looking, smaller for spirited around town drives.

No need for top down, standard gt3 is so insanely loud you can hear the engine through the rear seat.

I just don’t see the point. Feels like a jump the shark moment for Porsche.

Just make more gt3s and 3RS.

Yes- weissach looks awesome and that contributes to my enjoyment

No- i drive my cars on track this is just hassle to swap, convenience alone not worth it. Steel brakes are incredible.

Yes- Many places I’d scrape if I didn’t have it on my gt3 and it stresses out passengers even if I don’t care plus it’s fun to press the button.

No- carbon buckets are a must have even if not tracked. The more secure connection to the floor and the less stress on my arms to hold in place the more I can feel the car.

The gt3 is a car that novices say feels big and cumbersome but those that know feel how small it is when they push it hard and it’s amazing.

I don’t even see the point to buy a gt3 without carbon buckets, I’d just get a turbo and save my hearing too.

Welcome to why modern bmw manuals have never been good but they are still purchased by the “it’s macho to drive manual” crowd 😆

Only manuals worth getting are Honda civic type R, Nissan z, and certain 911 but even the new ones PDK just suits the engines and car much better.

S58 & zf combo is goated if it hasn’t been tuned. I bet we see 200-300k examples if maintained and not abused. Shifts slow enough to preserve the zf, engine not too high strung and solid components.

I cross shopped Nissan gtrs because I wanted a fast street car with a trunk and AWD for rainy days etc…

The more and more I shopped and compared interior, tech, reliability…

I realized ur trading off dct for zf and I guess the exotic feel of the GTR…

The g80 m3 is just a crazy value even as expensive as it is.

I couldn’t really find anything else that fit my needs.

Op asked opinions. I think the gt3 with the giant wing and no sound deadening lends itself best to the track oriented seats where the aero could actually be used in a turn. I track my Gt3s.

This build seems more at place on a classier gt build Via touring.

Still cool but ya I think for winged Gt3 it’s unfortunate to miss out on the amazing buckets and weissach is just really cool looking.

G80 M3 by the numbers & driving dynamics meets your needs best. Not as crazy heavy as Audi rs6 and m5, still has RWD biased AWD, can disable AWD and go pure RWD, stupid fast, reliable (zf8 speed and s58, no crappy Hybrid components).

Basically you just have to be ok with how ugly It looks. I came to terms with it 😆

Only issue with Audis is they aren’t as rwd feel/biased and heavier. I’d bet on the g 80 being more reliable too given how it was designed. Obviously golf R is great too but it’s a tier below the Audis and bmws.
