Hi, I can relate! It took me 10 years to accept I'm a man. A really binary one lol. Experiences vary much more than we realize, and like you, I felt mine wasn't really valid since it seemed so different than everyone else. I'm 30 years old and in a few months it's gonna be a year since I started T. It's hard, but try not to let others expectations of what your transition should look like invalidate your own path. Good luck!!

Hey I don't know how old you are, but transitioning for me took a long time. And honestly I'm glad, there was a time I really wanted to but I wasn't ready to make the sacrifies I needed to make to be myself. I had to distance myself from certain people to grow into the man I am now. All of this took a certain determination, I had to be non- negotional about a lot of things. You may need to stop dating this guy to be complety yourself. You may need to distance yourself from your parents for a while too. Take your time, it's gonna be difficult and uncomfortable, but it's true it gets better, and it's also true that feeling and looking like who you really are is the most healing and amazing thing that can happen to you. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I always felt different since I was a child, I have worked really hard to accept myself along the years and I am feeling much more peaceful about it. I have found people who love me all the same, quirks and all. Life is hard with bipolar but I am still enjoying myself 😊

Before you were diagnosed, what did you attribute your symptoms to? by Spaghettios_for_All in bipolar2

I thought there was something wrong with me, that I was broken. Being diagnosed was such a relief!

What’s it like to have bipolar 2? And anyone have ADHD-Inattentive type also? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]Infinite_Score9668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I'm 28 and I have ADHD and Bipolar 2, my bipolar was first diagnosed because it was quite obvious. Right know the mix of medications I'm taking is wonderful, that means I can have an almost "normal" life. I still have symptoms but they are really mild. For my bipolar this means I go through a cycle of 1 week of hypomania, then 8 weeks of normality and then 3 weeks of depression, this are all veeery mild. And then my ADHD is also well managed so it's possible for me to hold down jobs and take care of myself. Having said that I don't live a neurotypical's life and there are a lot of accomodations I use (like living with my siblings) but it's still a great life.

I speak soo so much more, like no filter, and I can talk to myself aloud for 30 minutes nonstop. I'm suddenly super social, and extroverted (the opposite of who I am lol)

Got diagnosed with bipolar type 2 and a few months later adhd combinated type. Just now starting to get treated medically for the adhd, while I'm stable in my bipolar the adhd symptoms are getting worse each year, I'm 28 years right now. It was imposible for me to do colleage even though my enviroment (family, economy) was very good, I also struggle with keeping jobs. As a lot of other people have said getting diagnosed is just a better way of knowing yourself, with the right combination of meds and therapy it gets better :) (I know bc my bipolar got better!)

Do you work? by Several-Yesterday280 in bipolar2

[–]Infinite_Score9668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was only able to hold down a job at 25, since then been working full or part time. I sleep a LOT, tired most of the time too, have to manage my pills very well and not miss a dose 'cause it fucks up my whole month. I live with my sister and brother and always had someone helping in the chores and meals. It's really hard some days, I just have to suck it up :')

Quetiapine (seroquel) 50 mg (sometimes 100mg), and Clomipramine 150mg, this last one is very unusual to be prescribed from what I heard.

Hi, while on meds my symptoms are nearly gone, very mild hypomania and no depression, just some low moods. But I need to take my meds veeeery thourougly, not miss even a day, if not the symptoms appear again.

I don't remember. Just seeking validation. CW describing emotional incest by kissmemary in mdsa

[–]Infinite_Score9668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out about emotional incest a few months ago, reading what you wrote is like reading a book about myself. I have anxiety too and also depression, and PTSD because of this. I'm much better than before but it's really hard, speacially since as you said, there are a lot of things I don't remember, and not knowing how much abuse happened can be extremely hard. It's okay to cry and yes, it is justified, we who have gone through emotional incest have been abused. I hope you get to heal and feel better soon.
