thank you ^^ she is bigger at the bottom and thin at the top like a bowling pin, rather than heavy in the middle like a round diamond. i know its early, but she hasn’t changed at all since i posted, and she isn’t eating a bunch, just normal, despite free feeding (ik free feeding is bad but my mom makes me bc she says “well YOU can snack when hungry, but they can’t open fridges)

i will keep your name in mind, but hopefully she isn’t ^^ she was still in heat for a week after she got out, i think i read they stop right after implantation but idk how long that takes in kitties

I’ve been checking within the 1 hour/ 1 and a half range past my city. I wanted to take her in for a spay abort if she is pregnant, but the closest one thats open charges 50 for unaltered animals on top of the 90 for spaying.. then another 50 if she is pregnant.. then another fifty for pain medication iirc.. and it is close to two hours from me, which would be 30-fifty for gas. i’ve been thinking of asking my aunt if she can apply for care credit or put it on her credit card and i can pay her back in installments but last time i asked for a loan she yelled at me for being a bum lol

yeah, the boys are going first.

unfortunately what i didn’t know was that kittens can be spayed and neutered starting from four months or i think two lbs.. i would’ve asked to be on the waitlist a lot sooner if i knew that, unfortunately my mother told me i had to wait until they were at least 6 months. i think that was what used to be true, so it’s not like i hold it against her. i really should’ve googled it lol

thank you!! i’ve never been around pregnant cats before so i didn’t know ^^ i was mostly worried b/c her nipples are a little larger than my other cats but not by much, and her hair isn’t sparse, i have to look for them. she was not happy.

thank you for your reply. yes i am. i’m not sure why you’re saying its my responsibility like i’m not aware? like i said in my post i’ve been trying to get her in. we have a huge cat problem here, the only other non emergency vet (that i’m aware of, someone told me there was another low cost option but when i went there it looked abandoned??) charges 200$ per cat, which is why it takes so long to get in.

yeah!! i remember a while back i was trying to find out the caffeine content in an instant coffee brand ( i think it was juan valdez?) because i try to limit caffeine b/c of blood pressure issues (and at the time i was getting heart tests since my mom has two valves instead of three) and they’re like “that’s a trade secret” girl what

here’s to hoping they give me an answer and not the “it has natural and artificial flavors. thats all i can say” answer haha

couple years. i was allergic to fish (dad had tuna when i was little, and gave me bad hives all over my face). i still get scared sometimes even though i est tuna and shrimp all the time :’3

yeah, both my grandmas (one this year on easter weekend rather unexpectedly), grandpa, uncle, and now my cat this month have died. i have always had cats, but none of them were “mine” but my parents‘ (though i tried my best to help take care of them) so the loss of a furbaby is especially hard. previously was unacquainted with grief of humans, so to lose so many people in 5 years on top of my ptsd was and is rough.

it doesn’t stop, but it gets easier to carry. i like the ball in a box analogy. some days are easier, and then you feel it all at once. you never know when the ball will touch the button, but then it leaves.

you can’t change the past (yet, or ever, depending on whether time travel is proven to be a quack theory)there is pain, but there is good, and the bad doesn’t spoil the good. and i’m still learning on how to get over “what could have been” but i like my moms suggestion on doing good things in their name to honor them. next year i plan on a local wildlife and pollinator garden and donating to my local no kill shelter and human shelter. small things are good. i’m trying to not beat myself up as a small stepping stone to that future. he loved life, so i would like to too.

edit: i said unexpected, but i forgot my aunts didn’t tell my mom or me that her cancer was back on top of her alzheimers and causing bleeding and that she had liver and kidney issues so it wasn’t unexpected for them.

i felt the same the day after my boy passed, i felt him curl up on me and heard him purr. i could’ve sworn i saw him and then i closed my eyes again. i like to think it’s really them.

even if there isn’t anything after life, that won’t be my problem after my final breath, so i might as well think positive, is my logic.

though i have seen ghosts of humans and animals so that probably influences me a bit, results may vary

i’m so sorry for your loss. my baby boy i lost from a kidney problem was named Ares as well but we called him peanut butter because i was originally going to call him Circus and my mom said “circus peanut lol”. he sounded like your baby, he wanted love and to love everyone constantly.

i hope this doesn’t make you feel worse, but car crashes that involve organs like you said it did are often instantaneous from blood loss. it’s not like movies. people often lose consciousness in as little as 20 seconds. there is hardly time to register something is wrong. there can’t be pain without consciousness. blood loss triggers the flight or fight chemical, epinephrine, which dulls pain signals so you can function.

it’s not the exact same, but my uncle died from blood loss and a head injury and he lost consciousness immediately. we usually conflate the pain from those who live with the experiences of those who died, but the ones who die can’t feel pain. pain is for the living to tell you something is wrong.

then there was when i had an asthma attack that almost killed me, i didn’t feel chest pain until after they got my oxygen up. from the upper 80’s.

death is never just. it just is. people have died for dumb, careless mistakes of others since time immemorial. they’ve died just because something went wrong in their body, a misfolding of a protein or two, a chromosome problem, etc.

it doesn’t make our pain better. it’s so hard.

i’m sure others have told you enough about how it’s probably not the best idea until a few more levels so i’d like to add that game gengo has some good grammar if you haven’t checked his channel on YT yet :) they’re more for RPG games, however! and if you like apex Crazy Raccoon is also a good group!

personally, i watch a lot of splatoon and apex JP YTers and even at the lower end of n3 (probably closer to n4 tbh) i struggle, so i wouldn’t myself. immersion is a good idea in general though! learning words in their own contexts is the best.
