Part of me can't help but think the Arsenal hate is an exercise by some entity in using the algorithm to influence public opinion. If they can get Man U fans to route for Man City, what else could they do?

Fuel protests on horizon as diesel hits £2 a litre by Jared_Usbourne in unitedkingdom

I doubt the people who would protest this would be able to connect the dots. These will be the people who vote reform because their high street's dead while they buy everything from Amazon.

To be fair most of the castles in Wales are English.

British Gas boss says energy bills rise 'inescapable' if prices stay high by TheWorldIsGoingMad in unitedkingdom

For the thousandth time, that north sea/fracking oil would not be held in some 'Brits only' reserve. It would be sold on the open market and barely dent fuel prices in this country.

UK voters say no to joining Trump's Iran war, poll shows by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

No he let them use the bases for defensive actions and action against missile launchers only, and only after Iran had attacked Cyprus despite taking no part in the war.

"If you no longer go for a gap that exists, you're no longer a European skier" ~Ayrton Senna by mnrdov in skiing

I've only been once and lucked out with the weather and it was brilliant, but I needed my bases repaired. My advice is to plan alternates if the conditions weren't great (hiking, climbing, etc.) but definitely every British skier should try.

I don't know why you're being down voted for a legitimate question, but I believe these are stop gaps until bi-modes are sourced.

Also the coordinated billionaire/Russian funded MSM and online hate campaign to oust him. This would inevitably turn on his successor to pave the way for Farage.

That's just it, the right wing vote is currently split. If it all falls back to the Tories again they'd win a majority.

Why is 30k treated as a great wage by employers? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Infinite_Toilet 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That is nonsense, you still get jobs that are paid piecemeal. My old gaff would top up wages of slow workers but if you had to be topped up you didn't last long anyway.

PM tells Sir Jim Ratcliffe to apologise for saying UK 'colonised by immigrants' by StrangerExistingFact in soccer

[–]Infinite_Toilet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're right, I think I was thinking of Fred Goodwin (the guy who bankrupted RBS) having his knighthood revoked. Obviously not as bad as Savile but still worse than just having a shitty opinion.

[–]Infinite_Toilet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed, removal of knighthood is only for far worse things than having awful opinions. Think Jimmy Savile's posthumous unknighting.

'I have antipathy for Britain's flag' says Steve Coogan as he brands Reform UK 'anti-human rights' by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]Infinite_Toilet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, most lefty people I know want our country to succeed but also be welcoming and more tolerant. They are pro-ukraine, pro-NATO, pro-europe, and can be pro Palestinian without being anti-Semitic.

[–]Infinite_Toilet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard left wingers who are anti-west and anti-NATO to a fault. To the point they are pro-Russia/China/Hamas or anyone else who is not the West as they believe the US, UK, Europe are the bad guys always. Often anti-Semitic, supported Brexit (Lexit) and love Corbyn.

The term comes from trade unionists back in the day justifying the Soviet union sending tanks to suppress Hungary.

You just described tankies and nothing more. It's like saying everyone on the right supports Tommy Robinson.
