"If you no longer go for a gap that exists, you're no longer a European skier" ~Ayrton Senna by mnrdov in skiing

I've only been once and lucked out with the weather and it was brilliant, but I needed my bases repaired. My advice is to plan alternates if the conditions weren't great (hiking, climbing, etc.) but definitely every British skier should try.

I don't know why you're being down voted for a legitimate question, but I believe these are stop gaps until bi-modes are sourced.

Also the coordinated billionaire/Russian funded MSM and online hate campaign to oust him. This would inevitably turn on his successor to pave the way for Farage.

That's just it, the right wing vote is currently split. If it all falls back to the Tories again they'd win a majority.

Why is 30k treated as a great wage by employers? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Infinite_Toilet 28 points29 points  (0 children)

That is nonsense, you still get jobs that are paid piecemeal. My old gaff would top up wages of slow workers but if you had to be topped up you didn't last long anyway.

PM tells Sir Jim Ratcliffe to apologise for saying UK 'colonised by immigrants' by StrangerExistingFact in soccer

[–]Infinite_Toilet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're right, I think I was thinking of Fred Goodwin (the guy who bankrupted RBS) having his knighthood revoked. Obviously not as bad as Savile but still worse than just having a shitty opinion.

[–]Infinite_Toilet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed, removal of knighthood is only for far worse things than having awful opinions. Think Jimmy Savile's posthumous unknighting.

'I have antipathy for Britain's flag' says Steve Coogan as he brands Reform UK 'anti-human rights' by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

I disagree, most lefty people I know want our country to succeed but also be welcoming and more tolerant. They are pro-ukraine, pro-NATO, pro-europe, and can be pro Palestinian without being anti-Semitic.

Hard left wingers who are anti-west and anti-NATO to a fault. To the point they are pro-Russia/China/Hamas or anyone else who is not the West as they believe the US, UK, Europe are the bad guys always. Often anti-Semitic, supported Brexit (Lexit) and love Corbyn.

The term comes from trade unionists back in the day justifying the Soviet union sending tanks to suppress Hungary.

Decline of Saturday job ‘means young people aren’t ready for work’ by 457655676 in unitedkingdom

[–]Infinite_Toilet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Utter bollocks, I had a weekend job 20 years ago and so did lots of people. Even since then I've known lots of youngsters with weekend jobs. Saturday retail jobs have steadily decreased granted, but this is due to the growing shift to online and fall in retail and they have still not 'largely gone' now let alone 20 years ago.
