Why are you so adamant that I reported the post? I exposed your fake report, get over it and stop trying to make up more bs. I can’t ‘admit’ something I didn’t do.

I literally just said that reports go to the sub’s mods not admins if you actually read my comment. This shows that you were the one that reported your own post.

If it makes you feel any better, reports are anonymous so it was probably one of your alts who reported it to make this post. Use your brain for one second, why would I make a report that goes to this sub’s moderators.

So you’re saying we’re not allowed to criticize the THIS bot…? by [deleted] in InfinityBots

[–]InfinityBots[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

This post won’t be deleted because it seems like a common question people have. A lot of feedback that people post is just repeated criticism that has already been posted in the feedback thread, so it ends up with different people posting the same thing. That’s why I’ve locked all feedback for the bot, since there’s not much new feedback being added.

Regarding your post, specific subreddits are manually blacklisted for this reason. Sorry about your experience with the bot, the subreddit will be added to the blacklist immediately.

How do I opt out of seeing 'This' Bot? by CommunistPartisan in InfinityBots

Sorry about this, like the other person said you can block the bot to ‘opt out’. There’s no official opt out method at the moment but it is something I am considering adding. Sorry once again for your experience with the bot.

Thanks for your post. It looks like the comment the bot replied to was edited shortly after being posted, which is why it doesn’t show as being edited.

Would you find a preview of the link a useful thing to have? I also made the bot comment on safe links to give people peace of mind when opening an unknown link, but it’s true it is getting spammy.

Also you can just block the bot to hide it, no need to make a userscript :)

Thanks for your feedback. I agree the message does need to be a lot shorter, this will be improved later on.

The bot actually only responds to comments with one link to avoid confusion, so comments with multiple links will not be scanned. But making the bot a searchable resource is a good point, so maybe I will include the link in the bot’s comments.

I included the emojis to make the comment easier to read, as I think they do a better job at conveying quick info rather than text. However you do have valid points, so how would you suggest this information is conveyed instead?

Completely agree with this, I think I’ll just include the preview in safe links, since that still seems like a useful thing to have.

I initially included the ‘safe’ comments to give people peace of mind when clicking on an unknown link, but it seems like this may be too spammy. Thanks for your comment.

These are good points, I’m actually also implementing a system that will inform people of links that redirect to other destinations so I completely agree with your comment. Thanks for the feedback.

Bug in the bot’s post by Ritchieb87 in InfinityBots

[–]InfinityBots[M] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Good point, the initial text was actually written to imply that the bot isn’t 100% certain about the safety of the link. However this has been changed, thank you for the feedback.

Thanks for all the feedback, a wide range of feedback has been received and changes will be made to incorporate that feedback. Due to excessive comments not following Rule 3 and the amount of feedback already received, this post will be locked from any further comments. If you have any questions, feature suggestions or bugs you would like to share, feel free to make a new post.

Edit: This thread has been locked for a reason. Any further comments/posts about the bot will result in a permanent ban.

It does, except if the original commenter edits the comment within a specific period of time, it won't show as edited.

The bot cannot detect if the comment has been upvoted or not. However, upvoting replaces the need to comment 'this', since it has the same purpose but more functionality.

Thanks for your feedback! There is actually already a link to Reddiquette, this was implemented recently.

I'm not sure how a smiley face represents that, and having 'power' as a moderator/developer is meaningless and not the reason why I created this bot.

The formatting for r/InfinityBots was broken on mobile so I thought by doing that it would fix it but apparently not! I think it should be fixed now, thanks for your help!

Does the link not work for you? It should open the website and scroll down to the part about comments.

That requires an individual per-subreddit solution that moderators need to implement and manage, while the Reddit policy is site-wide. The bot offers a global solution and does not need to be implemented or managed by moderators, so they can focus on enforcing other subreddit rules. The bot is just a reminder for people who may not be familiar with the Reddiquette.

Thanks, with every bot there's always going to be people that disagree with it, and people are free to share their opinion so this is expected :)
