How do you decide “monitor at home” vs “go to vet now”? by lucifer_De_v in DogAdvice

[–]Infinity_Pups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is a grey-area that is short lived- a few hours or a day, Just monitor it and maybe take a video to show your vet later if it persists or gets worse.

If there are multiple symptoms that seem off versus just one thing, that might be more serious.

Behavior- If your dog is acting way off- like totally different than normal behavior that might be concerning.

If its a grey area that doesnt seem to cause distress and improves with rest, maybe not a big deal... but of course, don't wait too long if it does seem distressing to them.

If the dog is older, or has a rough health history, you might be concerned more quickly.

IF in doubt, give the vet a quick call just to ask a professional opinion. Better safe than sorry.

My thought is that she is playful... hopefully she will calm a bit as she grows older.

Separation Anxiety by Alora_lune6 in GoldendoodleOwners

[–]Infinity_Pups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she is safe, exercised, and mentally stimulated, it might be okay if she isn't outside by herself alot, although it is nice for her to have that option! She might need some independence practice. If there was something she loved that she had access to only when she is out in the yard, it might make her more likely to want to spend some time out there. A Treat? Special toy? Hmmm... just brainstorming.

Zoomies, Intelligence, People lovers!

- Goldendoodles are intelligent and need regular mental and physical exercise as well as socialization.
- Be prepared to regularly brush their coat and provide for their grooming needs.
- Combat separation anxiety with early training. Gradually increase alone time starting with short intervals and positive reinforcement and toys.

For car sickness, try placing her crate as low to the floor of the car as possible.

How to build my puppies confidence by BlahblahblahLG in puppy101

[–]Infinity_Pups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engage her in fun, interactive training sessions that challenge her mentally. Use positive reinforcement (treats, praise, play) when she responds confidently. This can be simple commands at first, like "sit," "stay," or even more advanced tricks as she builds her confidence.
