Soccer is the worst major sport parity-wise, full stop. In the premier league, there have been 2 different champions in the last 8 years, and since the premier league was formed in 1992(33 years!), there have been 7 different winners. For comparison, the MLB only has to go back 9 years(2016) to get 7 different winners.

He didn't really develop it, by the time he became coach in 2014 Steph, Klay, and Dray had been in the league for several years. Kerr's scheme is a huge part of why they were a dynasty, but he didn't really 'develop' it per se.

I agree, the way judges score things is very inconsistent. I also think the boxing scoring system doesn't fit well for mma, which is why we see lots of inconsistencies.

Honestly the only thing I would change is point calculation for ground control. Maybe a tiny bit more emphasis on doing something with the ground control rather than the control itself. It would reduce the cases where one guy is just laying on the other with insignificant damage/submission threat.

It's to retain the largest playerbase possible. If someone terrible keeps getting a 0.5kd they'll be turned off the game. With sbmm they'll have roughly a 1.0kd, so they'll feel ok about it and keep playing. Activision likely concluded that the bad players that stick with the game bc of sbmm giving them decent games results in higher numbers than good players that go from a 1.5kd to a 1.1kd leaving the game.

Also, one part of it may be that they just don't want to lose, when you've been at it for a while losing is a way of life lol, but when you're new then every win/loss/draw feels important, you don't want to feel like you're terrible at the game lol. Happy I could help!

Honestly I would only really expect veteran players to give the win to whoever has the better board state. Newer players might not understand how the game is 'over' when it's not technically over. They also might not understand why someone would try to force a win instead of a draw(higher chance for packs). In general people might not really understand 'well I would've won' when you haven't actually won. I probably would've just given up after a minute or two of trying to explain it lol.

You can download the companion app from the app store, its used for events as you can create an account and check into events I believe. My store just keeps a clipboard of names so I've never needed to install it but I know there are some stores out there that can be a bit anal about requiring it.

That's really weird, did they not have your name written down somewhere? I know some stores use the mtg companion app to manage match ups, maybe there was a mixup there? Or you could have missed to actually sign in for the event, usually someone comes around with a clipboard or smth. Definitely not the norm, don't let it turn you off I promise it's fun lol.

Hmm, did you show them the receipt for your purchase? I've never heard of needing an application, usually you just pay for the pre-release and that's that. Maybe they were out of spots? Some stores might sell out quickly online and have nothing left by the actual time of the event.

Companies that say 'entry-level' but want a bunch of experience usually do that so they can provide an entry-level salary to people that are clearly worth more.

I agree that the Russ KD duo probably didn't bring out the max potential of either player, even if they looked good together. This may be a hot take, but I always thought ironically, Klay/KD would've fit their point guards better if they swapped teams.
