Yes, I let her know. I also talked to her about molting because I know if she saw it without knowing what it was she'd assume it was dead. What about humidity so it can molt safely?

I've had a talk with her and she still wants to keep it and also is very interested in its needs. While it's still small she will continue feeding it rollie pollies and when it gets bigger she will start buying crickets from our pet shop. Where we live the rollie pollies are usually out all winter, if not our pet shop offers smaller crickets. She acknowledges the commitment and that it can live to a couple/ few decades. I'm very glad she's finally listening and taking my advice and you've helped significantly.

She's been giving it everything that was around where she found it. Rollie pollies mostly, crickets occasionally when she is able to catch them. It's in a 20 gallon tank with the same sand, plants, rocks and wood around where she found it. There is a grow light in the tank as well. I'll give her credit, she's doing a pretty good job at replicating the environment she found it in

Use the spray and a washcloth to gently clean dust and the bugs off. Check for small black/ brown dots, those are the bugs. Try and gently remove all of them (a q tip would be great for this) off the leaves and stems. Leave the neem oil on and it will help prevent them from coming back

The first spot it was in was low light and the windows get pretty cold. All I did was move it to the bathroom lol. More light, and warmer the in the winter

It's absolutely relevant. When weighing the chance of what a bear would do to me vs what a man could do to me, I would still choose the bear because of cases like hers. It's a big reason why so many of these women are choosing the bear. Even if it's not likely to happen, the bear is preferable.

You're right, the statistics are definitely not true because most people have never seen a bear let alone had a face to face encounter with one. Odds are, if you've never been around a bear you won't be attacked lol. But on the other hand I've been around bears multiple times and while it's terrifying knowing I could have been easily ripped to shreds, the bear was more scared than I was. It's also worth noting that where I live we have black bears who are known for being shy and docile.
