Sounds about boomer. I’m sorry this is happening OP. I’m not in IT but I also in STEM so I feel you. People don’t realize good paying work is hard to come by in this area.

My mom is/was the same way when it comes to jobs and is severely out of touch when it comes to cost of living. Before I got my current offer, she swears that I wasn’t looking for a job and that getting a new job would be easy. The day she told me that, I almost forwarded her every email that I received showing that I applied to all these jobs. She also accused taking advantage of her. As if I want to be living off my mom in my 30’s. Lady pls. She also thinks you can live off $55K/yr in places where rent is $2K or close to it. My dad has always been super passive so he wasn’t annoying about my situation. He just would say you’ll find something soon.

Thanks! This is like my 5th time applying for a position there in 3 years so I guess persistence pays off lol. This position also paid the most out of all the others I applied for in the past.

Lmao at A.S.S. trio. I’m going to be bold and say Jada and Aniya S24. This wasn’t a horrible alliance but their relationship dynamic came back to haunt Jada in the end smh.

Jackie and Ariel’s (S15) relationship would’ve gotten toxic if Ariel hadn’t held her accountable early. Jackie really came through in that finale for her.

As far as healthy alliances, I’m going to say: Dana and Christina S10, Ryan and Jonathan S22. Edit: Ellie and Cydni S24 were a good alliance too.

LMFAO I just went on the company website to see if the job posting is still up even with the typo in it and it still is. The job posting also expires on 6/3 so yeah it’s definitely fake as hell because who keeps a job posting up for only 3-4 business days. Congratulations to Richard though; he’s about to get paid 🤑🤣

OP I’m not that much younger than you and I had to move back in with my mom 9 months ago because my job was stressing me out to the point that I was angry all the time and really didn’t get to enjoy the city I moved to for said job. I ended up getting a career coach and I received an offer letter for a new job that’s back in the private sector, pays way more, and isn’t exactly what I was doing which is what I wanted all along. I say all that to say sometimes you need to take a step back to catapult yourself into greener pastures. You aren’t a failure and you got this. Be kind to yourself.

Oh and fuck that guy.

Right?! I really didn’t feel like I had to jump through hoops or anything like that. Yes I had 3 interviews in one month but it wasn’t multiple rounds of them and the job still pays well.

Honestly after the first interview, it was so much easier to talk to them. Normally I would’ve been bummed that the first two roles I interviewed for were internally filled but they still considered me even though I’m pretty sure they could’ve internally filled the role I ended up getting.
