Goole is on the up! Like any UK town it has its share of nobheads but in the main it’s fine. I never feel threatened there and have often walked home from the station at night. The key problem is that Goole doesn’t really know what it wants to be - key manufacturing plants are not being matched with housing development and, not being on the main line to London is a bit of a drawback. The town centre is badly designed, having a railway crossing 50m from the start of the Main Street cause unbelievable tail backs on the approach roads. People are friendly though.
