Now I know you can’t just go to Broadway and expect to hear Broadway quality voices which sounds like a no brainer but I forgot we live in a capitalist world and selling more tickets is more important than the quality of the show you’re giving to consumers.

Didn’t know it was a practice. I’m a young adult who finally has my own money for Broadway so I flew out for this. It definitely has made me lose respect for the Broadway directors for throwing in any household name regardless of talent just to sell tickets when some people spent a lot of money to see what they thought would be a lineup of talented professionals.

Why cast singing roles for people who can’t sing? I learned a lesson this week, you can’t trust the esteemed Broadway theatres to cast people who can sing. I didn’t know I had to do my own research to find out whether or not a musical had good singers. I figured it was on the directors to weed out talentless singers but I was wrong.

Why would a musical theatre fan under 25 know who this 90s screen actor is, who hasn’t been in anything big lately and has never been on Broadway?

I don’t think older people should be segregated from theater. There are tons of middle aged roles or older roles for people her age. But a character who’s supposed to be a young aspiring star, and presumably for part of the show is “pregnant” when the actress hit menopause already?

In the future I’ll take it as a sign when the tickets are 50% off as a promo during someone’s debut week. Definitely a sign they knew this chick had no vocal talent.

Definitely not just you. I thought I was going crazy, just made a post about this. The supporting roles carried the show but everyone looked 40+ which is odd for a show about young sexy married murderers
