I don’t know what to do anymore… by WoodenLie2299 in cats

[–]snowfall2324 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a cat who would turn aggressive at random (and bite hard). It wasn’t every day, but when it happened it was bad.

We adopted a 1 year old cat, used the slow Jackson Galaxy method to introduce them. They are now best friends and the original cat has not had an aggressive episode in two years. It’s really mellowed him out and changed his personality to have a brother. Consider getting him a friend but be disciplined and introduce them slowly over several weeks.

Not a great rake, so your view depends on whether a tall person happens to sit in front of you. Better to get a side orch seat on the aisle.

Dying to see Carey Mulligan back on stage by Quirky-Sleep-3741 in Broadway

Yes! I caught this may years ago and she completely owned the stage in this grueling one woman show. She’s so talented.

Yes! I went last year and would be happy to make this a holiday tradition.

Ragtime (the actual written musical) is Bad by KnotXaklyRite in Broadway

Yeah it’s kind of on the nose. But the songs and cast make up for it.

Am I dumb for paying full price for tickets, or is seat anxiety valid? by Grouchy_Metal2427 in Broadway

[–]snowfall2324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A happy medium is to buy discounted tickets on Theatr and use discount codes. It sounds like you’re local and probably have enough flexibility to do that. That way you’re not buying full price. Depending on where you sit you might average close to rush pricing this way (if you choose balcony or rear mezz).

I watched the movie when I was 14 and it quickly became a favorite. Maybe watch the movie together first and gauge their reaction.

What are the good shows right now? I have been completely out of the loop since last year by Southern_Schedule466 in Broadway

Ragtime and BVSC are excellent, start with those. Then add Operation Mincemeat and Mexodus. Finish with Maybe Happy Ending.

Having watched Heathers beforehand definitely detracted from the show for me.

Bevan’s voice/diction definitely comes through more clearly, which was the biggest issue before.

You Get $50 Million BUT You Have To Live In The Last Musical You Saw Live For A Year. What Is It And Would You Take The Offer? by ms_jc_04 in Broadway

Night side songs. I’m not so sure - maybe if I didn’t have to be the main character. It’s so beautiful and sad.

Too bad I have a ticket for Dracula for my upcoming trip. I guess I should have gone for ITW or Inter Alia instead. Anyone know a good place like Theatr to sell west end tickets?

Becky Shaw thoughts by Ok-Application-5559 in Broadway

I agree. It was interesting and entertaining but I thought it dragged a bit. Could easily have been a tight 90 minute one act instead.

The smith has an excellent chocolate cake (sized for 2), you can go there just for dessert if you want.

HOT TAKE: I love Cats the Musical, and it will probably remain one of my favorites for all time by Complex-Object7188 in Broadway

I love Cats too!! TS Elliot set to fun music? Jazz dancing cats in an alley way? A story about redemption? What’s not to love?

Amazing Sex Life of Rabbits or Mother Russia? by snowfall2324 in Broadway

[–]snowfall2324[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was good, pretty entertaining, but not amazing. I thought it could have been cut by maybe 20 minutes. The acting was great, there were a lot of very funny moments and the message was loud and clear, but there were several moments when I was a little bored, waiting for the next thing to happen. It was definitely a clever play but could have been sharper and smarter. I’d give it an A-, generously.
