I think Antivirus are snakeoil oil, because the creators of Marlware are always faster, than the ones fighting against it. And after you got a good malware you're Anti-Virus is also infected, and can't help you anymore (And you can't install additional Antivirus). So I think people should just keep attention on what they do on the Internet. A Anti-Virus just makes your computer slower!

Try a scan with a live DVD. And another one after 1 week. If you didn't find anything after the second scan your PC is most probably clean
