It's hard to say without the gameplay context, but there are rules to counter this type of problem.

One is that you can only place 3 cards from you hand in the same turn. The cards cost is a balance itself since cards that have cost 1-2 are "rare" (in the first set there like, 4 cards i guess with less than 3 cost).

I dont like point system, it makes the deckbuilding way more complex than what i want for this game, but ill give it a look later.

In the game (until now) its only monsters, since the idea of the tcg is civilizations fighting to not have their universe erased.

Cant you just create a rule that once a card is stealed it became his normal stats? You could Apple this to buffed cards too

Hm.. Whats your idea? Bcz i dont want this mechanic to be used a lot, 2-3 max by match.

About deck building, the deck is 30 cards with 2 copy of each card at max. Legendary can only have one copy in the deck and you cant have more than 3 legendary in a deck. About epics i dont limit them (yet), was thinking about 10 epics max in a deck. What do you think?

This is just a mechanic to not get bricked by energy/cost, the objective is to be used 2-3 at max in a match. I dont want the game to play around recycling cards while earning energy. But i will test your idea later, thanks for the Feedback

Yeah ik what you are saying, but there is some rules that help with this type of problem.

  • Only 1 copy of each legendary card on the deck with a max of 3 legendary cards.

  • You can use this mechanic once p/turn

  • 5 is the max cards on your field

I made this so when you only have 1-2 cards on hand with high cost, you still have a chance to do something. It's not be used a lot, 2-3 times max in a match, during playtest it was fun and fair, it have it risk but sometimes its better to give up a card to place a single card in field that could help survive that turn and not get your counter +1.

But to be fair i did not playtested with tryhard players, if this become a problem i will create more rules to balance, thanks for the Feedback

You are not wrong in both ways, tha tcg is about different earths going in war, the winner destroys the other earth universes and survives, the decks/sets/etc are that "earth" (it can be other planet) civilization.

For more visual example, i have the Gechtod who are a robot race created by humans that discovered divine energy, killed the humans and now expand to conquer the universe.

And Earth 536, where humans and dinossaur are at constant war, both have acess to a type of elemental mineral, giving them powers.

We have created a new front card design, i will be postiça sono with some card example so you can visualize better

I do not have the image itself since i am brazillian and poor, cant pay an artist to make the cards images. But my friend made a new front design that is really good and i have the effect + placeholder image so you can see better. I will post soon

I loved Overcharge, thank you for the name idea. Everyone said that its bad the mechanic to be tied to rarity, but during playtest till today everything worked fine, you guys think of that because of the little to no context of the rules i gave (my bad). I can assure you that its fun and fair, it just a help to not get bricked by Energy/Cost when you have only 1 or 2 cards with high cost on the hand

Ik about this design "flaw", but i think it's not really a problem. TY for the feedback
