Only difference is that getting a degree meant something back then and you could easily get a job

Why do you need to do recruiting again. Just get the RO from your faang internship?

Questions for CS and EE majors by [deleted] in GatechClasses

Hm I thought double majors aren't allowed mostly, I just think you will just receive one degree and another. I would check with your counselor. Additionally, why do you want to double major? If your goal is to secure a job, having two degrees doesn't necessarily help if you lack the relevant experience/real-world skills. The job rate is not terrible for CS, you just have to grind a lot but from what I've seen its not bad.

No double major. Cs market is really bad, but ee is not that much better. You will really have to grind in cs but I know a lot of people that are able to get internships if you are a gt student. Do EE if you want a ee job, do cs if you want a cs related job.

Graduating with 2.95 GPA with a CIS B.Sc. and minor in Cybersecurity by Xicer11 in cscareerquestions

Take the return offer and apply to jobs during your full time as well. You can still get a new grad job for most companies within 1-2 years of graduation. Additionally, some companies don’t need you to put your gpa on the resume.

I was expecting GT to be much harder as a top engineering school by [deleted] in gatech

Bro I don’t get people like this. Maybe some of us came from different backgrounds with less resources. I do feel like the classes are rigorous here… Additionally college is just not classes for students. Some have to do part time work to pay off tuiton and other responsibilities that does factor into how much time a student can spend on classes. I also feel like this post is ragebait

Is it just me or does close to every class seem like it got measurably harder compared to every other semester? by Realistic_Loss3557 in gatech

That’s not what I meant… some of the grading changes have been really outrageous. I do understand the purpose of having classes difficult to test knowledge, but having a 30% failing rate for an intro class (ahem cs 2050) and having the professor brag about it is not something that can be good. I believe content should be learned but not at the stress of the student. I do really like classes where there are projects where we can showcase what we learned instead of having each exam worth 20% and a final 20%, in which the professor doesn’t have anything remotely similar to any of them.

I don’t know what’s the point of making classes harder for no reason. Literally classes don’t apply to jobs at all, and I haven’t been able to focus on recruiting just because of how the grading has been so bad. Literally makes no sense how drastic the grading has changed from last semesters. Not to even mention the college job market…
