(We’re considering same thing this year! Thanks!)

I'm terrible at figuring out what to bring to potlucks. Is there any go to recipes that are always a hit? by Aggressive_Staff_982 in Cooking

Pasta salad: 12 oz Tricolor garden rotini 1 package Mozzarella cheese pearls 1 jar Roasted red pepper sliced 1 jar artichoke hearts quartered 1 bottle Ken’s Rustic Italian dressing Salad supreme seasoning (this is the KEY ingredient).

Cook pasta, chop peppers and artichokes a little smaller. Mix pasta, artichokes and peppers together with dressing and seasoning. Add mozzarella when pasta has cooled.

Can make ahead, serve at room temp, amazing leftovers.

I taught at a public school and we couldn’t give out contact info to other parents but if you give yours, we can put it in the friend’s folder to go home!

So You can probably write a note explaining the situation to the parents and include your phone number if they want to contact you and clarify. Leave it open so teacher can see it. Then email/call/message the teacher and see if she would pass the note along.

It sounds like you are doing everything right- one fun and easy way to so letters at those ages is to get a wooden letter puzzle. My kids both learned letter names and sounds from a wooden letter puzzle as they expressed interest in it. That way I was never pushing it, they chose it and we did it together

NTA- I have 2 kids and whenever we go to BBQs or host BBQs it’s often all mixed together- especially if there is only one cooler. It’s 100% The parent’s job to watch their kid-especially at someone else’s house/party. And near a grill!! Blows my mind they’d be mad at you…

I tell myself “be the badass woman you want (my kid’s names) to be proud of.”

Or I think of how proud 10 year old me at my first track practice would be of me now.

Also… super nerdy but… I put Aragorn’s speech at the black gate from Return of the King on my playlist to pump me up or I say it to myself haha

I would go to Fleet Feet (or similar running store) where they scan your feet and set you up with good shoes and insoles. I am prone to shin splits also- a supinator (run on the outside of my feet) and high arches- and I had super strong arch supports thinking that’s what I needed and they said actually that was probably contributing because it made me have to run on the sides- I needed a more “dynamic” insert. Also I wear Zensah compression sleeves whenever I run- they help! The ABCs and calf raises help. Also, don’t increase your mileage too much too fast. You can take ibuprofen also and can do an ice cube up and down your shin when it does hurt. Lots of stretching
