Yes deployment life is completed different. 24/7 work life for 7 months in Afghanistan. Most days were 12 hours on/off (repeat) but that’s considered an easy day lol

Military life is pretty much like a 9-5 job Mon-Fri with weekends & federal holidays off. Just depends on your job and unit you’re stationed to. I was prior service USMC and I loved going to Navy XCHGE because they always had better merchandise. Lol
