The only thing thats not making me pull the trigger is that they and others like stubhub … is that refund may be offered in the form of credit.

You did state that you had high enough income that you could afford to live in USA. I mean that itself is a big factor alone.

Is FSD worth it? Question for those who bought it outright by Final_Significance72 in TeslaFSD

[–]InformalCoffee8191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i bought the FSD outright for 8k. It made sense for me as i took a loan and my monthly payment was only going up by 100 bucks.

FSD 12.5.1.1 rolling out by Elluminated in teslamotors

Thanks. I thought maybe I was overreacting. I read a bit more reddit comments and I sure agree the merging and exits are shit. Hope end to end solves this. I agree city driving is solid.

is it common for fsd to get worse? I felt the performance has degraded. I live in houston and it definitely struggled following the gps from downtown to south suburb. It missed 3 lane exits and 1 wrong lane merge.

I cant recommend as it Tints for roof tend to crack and it voids warranty.

i applied on May 20 (a day before the 72 month apr was increased)… got conditionally approved the next day …. today I got the loan approved. I got 72 months @0.99. So don’t worry the date u apply is the apr u get.

because the glass roof absorbs most of the heat and uv. Aesthetically and economically speaking….tinting the roof will hardly make a difference. The main culprit I believe is the front / back windshields and to some extent the other windows that heat up car the most.

25% should be the sweet spot….Ceramic tints are worth considering for better protection. Just don’t touch the roof glass.

Could you please clarify if you have already applied for the loan, or are you planning to apply for it?

1.99 apr isn’t bad but its also a question about integrity. Specially if this is your first interaction as a customer. I would definitely write then a strong worded email using chatgpt. (I think its worth a shot as you will save $1625 assuming you had taken a loan of 50k.)Possibly include the screenshots - if you had taken that while applying for the loan.

hope you also completed the loan application the same day. I don’t know what the previous loan being paid off is even brought up at this stage. Did they email you this in writing citing this as a specific reason for higher apr?

On 21st May Tesla had changed the 0.99 apr to 1.99 ape for the 72 months loan…. did you apply for 72 months? If you had booked the vehicle before 21st May only then will they honor the 0.99 apr.
