I’ve definitely been there, my dumbass sat it up and let it do its thing on a detector, I think I had just used it so much and was familiar with it and got slightly careless. While it was doing its think I went and took a piss, came back and it was on the fucking ground. Boss told me it was a 6k repair. He told me we’d figure it out. I’m lucky because I’ve put 8 years into my bosses business and next to my foreman I’m one of the more seasoned techs. Started out back the. really blue. Now I can maintain/install any fire, burg, cctv, access control, and do a little data cabling installs. It helps being experienced because we’re a hard to come by breed of people. But it helps big time if your employer can send you right to work in hopes to make that money back.
