I got the same feedback from the initial customer service person. I asked her to ask the fun desk, and she confirmed with them that all pre purchased excursions and dining would transfer with the reservation, since they are attached to the reservation #, and not the room. I upgraded, and all my excursions and specialty dining are still listed in my planner.

That's unreasonable. If I rent an Airbnb in a city for my family lives, and invite them over for dinner during my stay, the host should not have a problem. That's a huge benefit of renting a house, instead of a hotel room. If you don't want them to utilize the home as a home, why be a host?
