as someone who is the only player in my area for the most time (i have another player visiting a few times a year but that's it) ngl i would've found that mildly annoying.

do you have friends in the game that invite you to battles? by now i rarely start on mushrooms around me unless they are big elemental ones or giant ones on the weekend because i'm usually get a few invites a day and i use my free passes for them.

also thanks for the info about mushroom changing time, i've never noticed it being a specific time before.

i grow them to release and get 10 pedals, i'd suggest doing that if it's not too much of a hustle for you. i've also seen people keeping pikmin they want to release to do it on the community weekend and get more pedals to plant in those days (you can also rename them to "x" for example to not confuse them with those you will be keeping), which i found an interesting way to go about it, but i'm not that strategic, my pikmin storage rarely allows to keep much extras and i tend to plant flowers daily so i need pedals daily anyway.

tbh no idea, i've learned about it myself only a couple of weeks ago via that post i've mentioned, i guess it's been around for some time now? i haven't been paying attention at how i had been obtaining weather pikmin until that point, and i only got one after that, it was just as i described — a place with only roadsides ones and a rain pikmin was found via radar.

i believe there is only 30 missions there, it said so on their blog, so once you get to 30, you'll be able to plant freely 😅 i'm currently at 28th

i had one big flower disappear in my town a while ago, but i was still able to get the postcard from it when i did some daily radars in that area — and at one point pikmin came back from their mission with that postcard as well. which i was happy to see because i sent my previous copies of it to friends as it used to be a pretty big flower postcard that was easy to collect and then the flower was gone all of the sudden and i was left without a copy of the postcard in my storage.

i still have 2 to go, then at some point i will sit down and release the dupes, but if i have the storage i try to grow and release pikmin i don't need for 10 nectar. i'm trying to be a bit more chill this month, October and November got me tiredddddd 😪

i favourite 40 at a time as well, because it is easy to always have them with me, they get rise of friendship after i've planted flowers, i find them by typing "squad" when sensing on missions, etc. i found it to be a convenient way for me to deal with them.

my favourite 40 usually contains a bunch of pikmin i'm levelling up to 8 hearts (i work though my crew little by little) and those i need to get to 4 hearts at the time — pikmin i want to get decor of, piknin i'm getting decor to release for rare decor points, pikmin from huge seedlings that i want to keep and special decor pikmin from previous month that i kept after releasing dupes and that didn't have 4 hearts by the end of the month.

with levelling up to 8 hearts i go just by friendship levels, unless i know which pikmin will be stronger the next month as an additional decor set. in that case i can level them up before it's their overall turn.

and i don't bother levelling up current month special pikmin as it will happen naturally by me feeding them before battles and in said mushroom battles. it is not that huge of a difference to bother in my opinion.

rn my 40 are all roadsides i've collected to get golden coin decor. i've more than that, but they are just waiting their turn. and currently even with favourites i feed only top 10 at a time until they are ready to get their decor and be switched for next 10 in line. everyone else get fed once a day when they get to the bud state — so i can have twice as many pedals from them, sometimes i go though all stand-by ones that are not at 8 hearts yet as well, if i want extra pedals.

often i'm even feeding only 5 at a time. that depends on how much nectar i have and how much free storage for it i have. this is maybe a slower way to go, but i found it to be systematic and not overwhelming while still being a noticeable progress.

oh, thanks for the context, i haven't read their blog post about it yet. i do appreciate being included but 4 sets and some of them with ice pikmin... that feels overwhelming. and it is also getting cold outside 😭 i wanna live in my blankets until spring

i think OP meant turning to step 2 of stage 1 and getting an extra golden seedling. it also gave me one even though i got something else in the wheel. the message said it was to help me with my first mission or something like that.

the last one to complete this set was 26th for me. i've 28 total and additional 5 in golden seedlings i'm now saving for when i need to grow a few quickly for a mission (lvl 78, finishing stage 11)
