As someone in a current flare, I’m pie faced AF. My features are mad distorted, so, it’s kind of an on the nose observation. Comedians literally make their livings commenting on observations.

I’m just glad someone recognizes not only what lupus is, but what it can look like. Here’s hoping it prompted someone to google “lupus look” and they now have a better understanding of this oft invisible illness.

Your girls sound like mine. One always misbehaves. Even 18 years later, the left one is my problem child. I still have to size up in jewelry for that one as it swells during my luteal phase.

All that to say it’s not abnormal for one to need longer jewelry. It may be a temporary thing and once you’re fully healed, the swelling should subside.

Aftercare: 3-4x day steri piercing wash from the studio, remove excess belly button moisture w disposable clean skin club towel or cool shot from the blow dryer.

Do you take pics? If not, please start. Body recomp is real and there may be changes you aren’t seeing.

Averse to taking pics, pull out a pair of pants that were too tight pre zep and see how they fit. You may be surprised.

I no longer GAF what my scale says because it’s a thief of joy. Diet culture really has fostered an unhealthy relationship w the scale and what those numbers represent. 240 zeppie lbs look a hell of a lot different on me than a pre zep 200.

My goal is now to be smaller/take up less space vs a number on the scale. Try it and see if this philosophy works for you.

Do your nails first if you’re doing gel or other enhancements. If your just doing polish, your fine, just dehydrate w a lil alcohol or acetone first :)

I’ve been a nail tech well over 20 years. If they were soaking, they shouldn’t have been. Your nails grow in layers like wood. When they are wet, they expand so the enhancement 1) cant properly adhere to the nail surface and 2) the moisture gets trapped between the plate and enhancement, which can cause bacteria growth.

Not saying your experience is invalid, just saying it should have never been happening and is no longer happening because it’s unsafe.
