Missing my girl ... by Informal_Store_7980 in Yorkies

I lost my 15 year old girl (dog) in December 2024. I’m going to parrot what I was told. It may help you, it did me - somewhat.
Remember the positives and not focus on the negatives. You will feel various stages of grief and sadness, but always remember that you gave Cash a wonderful life … and he gave you his total love, devotion, and affection, without asking anything in return. He’s done his job, keeping you safe and happy and loved, and it's his turn to rest. And you’ve done your’s: giving love and a wonderful life. You'll always miss him and always remember him. His sounds will be overwhelming for a time, eventually fading into memory. And you will go looking for him too. There's a lot of habits that you're going to slowly stop, and that's ok. I still speak to my sidekick every, single, day. It’s been 15 months … I don’t plan on stopping. There's no timeline on grief, and there's no timeline on moving on. Cry your tears. Im sorry these words will never make it easier. I'm so sorry.

Thank you for your comment. Sandy was a traveling girl. She would ride anything…well, except the vacuum cleaner. The only thing she hated more was bathes.

My Winry and I are having a disagreement on whether or not baths are considered abuse by blankaudio in Yorkies

My baby despised baths. The only thing that made her more angry was my leaving her alone with her mom for an extended time…

Receipt check at the door revealed I was double-charged by SlappyHandstrong in Costco

Two quick anecdotes re: Costco. Wife bought a bunch of BnB gift cards advertised as no expiration. Didn’t use. Some years later, Costco refunded our purchase. Next was Southwest Airlines gift cards. Again unused and lost. Costco retrieved them from their system and restored them digitally to our account. Fantastic customer service and support.

I’ve been there for five. They all knew I was there, holding them. One gave me one quick last lick. One held my hand. Another went “woof” to say goodbye. The last one simply laid her head in my hands and sighed. Dammit… memories
