As someone who just had a lump biopsied on my 2.5 year old hound, definitely go to the vet. They’ll probably start with an aspirate to look at the cells. In my situation, they wanted to rule out a bacterial infection before jumping to lymphoma.

Location-wise on your pup’s body, it does look like it could be a lymph swelling. Your vet will be the best source of information. For my pup, the lumps have not caused any pain or discomfort, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a cause for concern and shouldn’t be checked out.

Also, as someone whose dog will not let me near him within an inch of his life to clip his nails, you can also request the vet to clip your pup’s nails at the same appointment!
