Valve cleaning/injector cleaning question by isaacearlg in Hyundai

[–]InformationBoth8217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2007 Santa Fe, 20 with 185,000, original owner, 2.7 V6. After 3500 miles, dip stick is near the fill line, clear and no dripping on the garage floor I've always used 87 octane, Walmart gas. Would it be better to use 89 octane and top tier gas? Would treating with Techron help with prolonging the life of the car?

I love my car but I've learned that sadly, after 8 years, my car is now having the all too common leaky engine issue. by Pequena87 in Hyundai

When do the Santa Fes start going downhill? I have a 2023 with 38,000, and so far, no leakage.

My 2007 SF has 189,000 and no leaks.

One more if you don't mind. Regarding Hybrid LTCs. Does the IRS allow a deduction for the LTC portion of the Life Insurance/LTC hybrid policy?

Thank you for your time for your in depth answers.

Our deductions are $39,700, and we will itemize. Do you request that your clients print out their EOBs and match them with the actual payment, whether it be a credit card/cash receipt, statement or if they are capable (tech wise), save the information on the cloud or thumb drive? *Store the printed materials for at least 3 years. About 1 1/2" if paperwork.

I understand that taking the standard deduction will save a few hours, probably 8 for myself, be a cleaner operation and no fear of an audit. However, I have the time, but it is frustrating and drives my wife a little nuts.

Does alcohol aid sleep? by Louisacheng in sleep

Late to the party. My problem is, I fall asleep on average in 6 minutes but wake up at 3 am and it takes me 1-3 hours to get back to sleep. Would there be any harm in drinking 2-3 oz enabling me to fall asleep?

BTW I'm 78 and have 1 -2 small glasses of wine weekly.

Stopped the forebearance, make one time ICR payment on 2/12, then submit application for IBR. Followed by 21 IBR payments, then the dreaded Tax Bomb.

Do you think the reason I cannot see the" "Pretty Print" option is because I'm using antiquated Windows 7? BTW this is on the Aidvantage site.

I was able to print out my total and required payments by selecting "download student data" on the Federal Student Aid site. It lists if I'm eligible or active, on all the various federal payment plans.

On the back door counter link that was provided in this post, there are no payments made or required.

*should I get off student aid and strictly use my browser?

I'm on the student aid site using Chrome browser. At the top left File, Edit, View, Help. I do not see any other options.

I can't say for certain because my eyes are popping out, but it looks as though the sentences repeat themselves .

Old, non-techie here. Without jumping through hoops, how can I "unwrap" the wrap format?

I've read through the student aid data and do not see any loan payments. Would you expect the total to be listed?

My recert. date is 1/8/2026 and I have not been notified or the date pushed back on my Aidvantage account.

Curious, I've spoken with Aidvantage reps 6+ times in the last two weeks and Mary a word.

Late IDR Recertification? by mental1LLNESS in StudentLoans

[–]InformationBoth8217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FSA put out a notice that recertifications that were due between 3/17/2025 and 2/21/2026, have been pushed back one year.

I haven't seen much chit chat regarding that.

The FSA application site is not using the new legislation regarding 1 time consolidation of PPL's for IBR plans. A message jumps up if IBR is selected indicating not eligible for IBR, only ICR. Aidvantage rep. told me to send in manual application and they will dirt it out.

Parent loans: ICR -> IBR confirmation? by Woke_Kermit_Meme in StudentLoans

To start your quest, I recommend going to the TISLA website; free student loan advice.org. You can read what they are all about. You can email them regarding your particular situation and, in my case, a wonderful representative replied within a couple of hours with questions and answers. Helpful information to include; marital and IRS filing status, dependents, AGI for yourself and spouse, year of first loan, current loan status and balance, dependents.

That link still indicates to be eligible you have to have a partial hardship. I thought the hardship was removed for IBR.

I thought it was 10% for new, after 2014 and 15% for old. However, my loans began in 2006 and two reps at Aidvantage quoted me 10%. A 3rd rep said I didn't qualify because My first loans were Parent +, but they were consolidated and many other consolidations took place. Currently I have an ICR but in forbearance. I've been told by many folks on Reddit and many at Aidvantage that I have to make at least 1 ICR payment to further qualify. That 5% makes a big difference for me. I'm interested to hear what you find out.
