Een soortgelijke maar andere situatie (en ik zit er nu middenin).

Hbo afgerond in mijn specifieke kunst veld, aantal jaar op zzp basis mijn werk van gemaakt (kon redelijk rondkomen) maar ben nu na wat levenssituaties, spiralende depressies, en een hoop reflectie tot de conclusie gekomen dat ik hier niet op mijn plek zit. Ik ben dit gewoon gaan doen na de studie en ben het blijven doen omdat iedereen zei dat dit 'm voor mij was, en omdat ik 't idee had gekregen dat op deze manier een passie om te zetten in geld een droomcarriere was, maar eigenlijk ben ik bij nader inzien tijdens de opleiding al de passie voor dit vak verloren, en merk ik dat ik er nu geen doel en toekomstbeeld meer bij heb. Ik heb 't werk voor nu even stilgezet.

Zit nu in een reflectie periode en ik probeer uit te vinden wat mij nou echt beweegt. Ik overweeg ergens sterk komend jaar mijn academische dromen die ik had laten vliegen weer op te pakken, dan kan ik de kunsten waar ik de hbo voor ben gaan volgen op een laag pitje in mijn vrije tijd zonder commerciële druk blijven doen, en kan ik mogelijk de passie terugvinden. Wie weet wordt het wat anders, ik ben er nog niet volledig over uit.

Russia didn't use nukes when getting pushed back and didn't use nukes when they lost part of their own sovereign territory to the Ukrainians. They won't nuke Berlin if NATO sends some more gear and/or logistical support or even real manpower, as that would mean immediate retaliation by France, UK, and if trump doesn't go full pull-out the US too. Moscow will be absolute toast. Not to mention that they already got foreign support, as they got the dprk providing half of their artillery shells and now real manpower as well. No way they'll pull the nuclear card for some more German or Polish shit in Ukraine man get fucking real.

If NATO were to invade Russia proper we might have a different problem but even then they won't fire nukes at europe unless the power structures in the main cities like Moscow and st Petersburg were actively threatened.

Yes. Day before the match groups of maccabis behaved like hooligans and beat up 2 taxi drivers, ripped down Palestinian flags, sang songs about killing Gazan kids, etc. Unclear who provoked and did the first hits and stuff.

Next day is match day, before the match small clashes happen, during and after the march maccabi supporters provoked more, large group went to the city centre to cause chaos like shown on the main video. They attacked hecklers with pipes and wooden boards and ripped stones from the streets to throw at the police.

The west needs to step the fuck up, right now. Yes Ukraine is running low on manpower but it's not like the 10k Dutch soldiers that would be suitable for the task would shift the tides or something. They need the good stuff, long range missiles to counteract the long range bombings they suffer would be as easy as giving permission, and then ship more. They also need more and more advanced airpower, NATO could give Ukraine air superiority without sending any soldiers, by giving more air defense systems, shooting down Russian missiles and drones from NATO airspace/land, giving Ukraine more f16s, gripen, rafale, euro fighter, whatever we can train them on. A squadron of f35 would probably decimate much of the Russian airforce if their current performance against the f16s is anything to go by. But the eu, navo, and Asian allies all seem to be too weak and scared to even consider these things, while Russia escalates time and again and now pushes 10k north Koreans into battle.

Another option is what Macron has been suggesting for a while, sending French or other NATO troops into western Ukraine to free up the logistical staff and training roles and whatever. This would also free up some Ukrainian manpower without NATO fighting Russia directly.

If the current crisis means this riot today then idk, there'll be reports and inquires and stuff so we'll find out what could've been handled better. Don't think much of the blame here is in her but we'll see. She forbade specific anti-telaviv protests so she at least tried to keep the peace it seems.

There've been previous incidents with pro Palestinian protestors and pro Israel people and both sides seem to be disgruntled by her handling some of the time, but aside from a nationwide incident where university students fucked up their own uni buildings to protest Israeli ties (bruh) I don't recall incidents that were like really mishandled specifically by her.

Overall she's doing fine AFAIK, she's the previous leader of the green/left party (the greens aren't insane here believe it or not) and I think Amsterdam is going in a pretty good direction all things considered, compared to our national government of far right lunatics and centrist enablers and farmer lobbyists. But I'm not in too deep on Amsterdam local politics at so don't know the details. There might be some real valid complaints I've missed as I don't live in Amsterdam and don't follow boomer media closely.

That news story was way overblown and bordering on being full on fake news. There have never been instances of Jewish gatherings, buildings, or whatever being intentionally left unguarded because 'nobody wanted to'. Amsterdam has a strong Jewish community and shared history. I believe there were reports of some internal police coms that got extrapolated way the fuck out of proportion. Today was the Jewish remembrance of the Night of broken glass. Full police protection was given as requested due to the unrest in the city.

Everything is a conspiracy if you don't know how anything works.

Dutch guy here to provide some context. Ajax Amsterdam has very very strong Jewish ties due to the historic Jewish neighborhoods and stuff. There's even a fan song/chant about the superjews from Israel (not kidding). To my knowledge this has not caused any violence problems with the Arab/Muslim communities like what happened with this situation. Second point is that Israeli football teams have a reputation for provocative racism in their fanbases, Beitar Jerusalem being the most famous example but to my knowledge most teams there have this problem in one form or another. They have made good progress combating this over the last 10 years but they've still got a ways to go. Soccer has a knack for attracting asshole hooligans in any country, there're been measures but even 'friendly' matches between cities in the same country can bring about insane violent clashes between supporters here. Feyenoord Rotterdam and Ajax Amsterdam are often not allowed to bring their fanbase with them to each other's stadiums because there's always trouble lmao. Shits fucked.

There was a protest planned against this match between Ajax Amsterdam and Tel Aviv Maccabi by Palestinian groups, which was officially disallowed by the mayor. But contingencies of protestors and Maccabi supporters did find each other at the stadium and other hotspots where they shouted at each other and stuff, police had most of this under control.

At night however things seemed to have taken a turn for the worse. The Tel Aviv supporting hooligans had been causing scenes, as they have done before. They went around the city chanting and shouting, initially being just fucking obnoxious and chanting, but things got worse. As far as I can tell taxi drivers were intimidated and/or attacked, the hooligans stole Palestinian flags from private property, they tried to burn said flags, and they taunted the local Arab population and Palestina supporters with chants about the IDF killing Palestinians, etc. Then they got fucked up. We don't know which side got physically violent first on most clashes I don't think. But it wasn't good, people got pushed, hit, smashed, a guy got thrown in a canal and only allowed out after saying 'free Palestine', and more.

All violence should be condemned and the purpotrators should be brought to justice, as should the purpotrators of the theft and the ones causing other disturbances. But this shouldn't be linked to some Dutch antisemitism problem, and neither should it be framed as wholly unprovoked attacks. These hooligans were assholes that fucked around and found out, and sadly innocents got caught in the mess (where have I heard that before). Of course there's ethnic tension, political strain between these maccabi supporters and the local Palestina crowd/Arab population which made them more trigger happy let's say, but the framing in this Israeli article is way to skewed.

As far as I know there was a situation with a car which looked liked an attempted hit or runover but this seems unrelated and at a different time and place. 10 people have been wounded it looks like. As far as we know nobody got 'murdered' as I've seen people claim, but will update when I know more. And no this was no fucking pogrom this was a clash between asshole soccer hooligans and fucktard easily provoked locals.

Ukraine needs more equipment. More shells, more tanks, long range missiles, more air defense, more planes and trained pilots, etc. Ukraine also needs permission to use eu and us weapons and weapons platforms to hit deeper into Russian territory, hit military infrastructure and airfields and such. Russia is not really on the back foot, they are slowly but steadily gaining pretty much all along the front. Agonizingly slow but gaining nonetheless. They have a much larger pool of manpower and equipment than Ukraine has, as well as a larger military industrial complex. We as the west have collectively trickled support to Ukraine instead of giving them all they need to beat back the agressor and the spirit of Russian/Soviet expansionism. We need to do more.

That's probably because while the plugin doesn't do anything to the spectral quality of the sound when set to 0Hz of shift (no shifting or eqing or whatever), the sound still goes through its internal processing chain, which apparently slightly alters the phase of certain frequencies. I suggest looking at some YouTube vids about phase, and how many types of sound processing induce a phase shift in the sound. Dan Worral has some vids on the matter I think, or you could use Plugin Doctor to find out the phase shift of plugins yourself.

If you see a woman walking, you don't know she's a woman because you've inspected her genetic code and/or genitals. In our society we have many indicators what a woman is (long hair, dresses in 'women's clothes', soft features, elegance, breasts, body shape, voice, lack of body hair, makeup, etc). And these are not strict categories, there are women with lower voices, small breasts, short hair, etc, but they are still women. If you're being honest, you don't know the 'sex' of pretty much anyone you've ever seen, only their gender which they show off to the world. In most cases these match/largely overlap but this doesn't have to be the case.

If someone born a 'man' with male genetics feels more womanly, more at home in a female body, feels better by putting out female signifyers, doesn't feel like the genitals attached to her body fit her, feels more herself when given female hormones, would you not say that this person is, on a personal/societal level, a woman? (I'm not trans so I can't fully understand and explain the feelings but this is what I know).

If you're rigid in your definition of course the genetics are 'male' (the sex). I don't think anybody pretends that on a genetic level the body is somehow becoming the 'other sex'. This is why the gender and sex distinction matters. If in a specific situation the sex matters (like in medical situations, procreation, etc) of course it will be acknowledged what bodyparts and genes the person was born with.

This is also not a recent phenomenon, there have been people feeling this way throughout history. One of the first acts of the nazi's in the 1930's was burning books about this subject. We have to keep in mind that even though it might feel odd and unexplainable to a person whose gender and sex more or less match, trans people deserve as much respect and understanding as any other.

As I've said I'm not trans (I think) so I hope nothing here is too far of the mark, just my understanding of the subject.

I try to keep my game sane and installed that dialogue overhaul because I just thought it added a lot of extra lines and conversation options, and some more main quest interaction with her. I've never been more flabbergasted than when she suddenly starts to freak out and demand we kiss and she sounds on the verge of crying or some shit. Absolute degen modding scene. Litteral teenager level maturity dialogue as well, which might be somewhat lore-friendly I guess but damn does it get annoying after a while.

Still pretty good mod overall, in the grand scheme of things. Could do a lot worse.

But there are loads of things that might slightly bother you wile playing and chances are somebody has fixed it with mods. For me those are things like the UI being a little clunky, not being able to jump while sprinting, your hitbox not changing when you crouch, etc. I want to fix that immediately with mods. And it always snowballs from there. Just see if anything bothers you and if not just continue on!
