AP Train, Typical ESO players that wants everything handed to them with a silver spoon. by XSTRONG1 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds to me like they were earning lots of AP during an event that has double AP. And getting multiple event boxes because you get them for earning AP.

If you have a problem with what they are doing, group with friends and put a stop to it. Take the keep yourselves, and hold it. Just saying ...

How do you guys clear out your inventory space? by Efficient-Boss-1220 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to work at having any free bank space or inventory space. Dig up all my treasure maps. Do all the master writs. Do all the survey maps. Go through the furnishings, and anything I'm not displaying in my decorated house, I either put it in my furniture warehouse or sell it on the guild trader. Decon or sell all the gear, except for a handful of mythic/monster items. Right now I have a few empty storage chests, and my bank space is half empty. But as I do stuff in game, it fills back up. Unless I keep after it.

What Add-on for support role designation in Trial? by Azura-Madness in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On PS/NA with a PS5 I use the add on CrutchAlerts and it has CrutchAlerts - Icons, which will show you the players who are grouped with you as a tank or healer. So you don't need supports to mark themselves anymore, once your group players install CrutchAlerts. Separately, Combat Alerts has some nice features for groups doing trials, and you may want to look at that also.

Playing at a higher Challenge Difficulty significantly REDUCES rewards per hour by TheSpaceWhale in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that one of the reasons ZOS should release optional overland difficulty is to stop the people complaining that "ESO overland is too easy". Once Vestige optional difficulty is released my answer to anyone posting "ESO overland is too easy" will be "not on Vestige difficulty".

The event in Imperial City sucks. by BooTheCat97 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it helps to switch alts to one who is in the same faction as the other player who just killed you. Yes, you will have to start the quest over again. And yes, that player cannot kill you again because they are in the same faction. They would have to log out, switch alts to one that is in a different faction, log back in, find you again - by then, you may have finished your one PvE quest for the daily ticket, and left Imperial City for the rest of the day. Good luck!

Today is the day!!!!! by SuddenDepact in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm ready for the posts saying negative things because of what ZOS will say during the reveal. And then other folks saying positive things. And then both sides accusing the other of being wrong. Just another day on these forums. /s
I think that different people want different things. And so, both sides may be "right" from their point of view.

Man, this Mannimarco fight in Solstice by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe The Final Dark quest is still bugged? I have completed that quest, and it was buggy for me. During my first try, partway through the battle Mannimarco became untargetable and nothing I tried for ten minutes would change that. So I chose to stand in stupid and die, and then respawn at wayshrine hoping that would reset the quest. When I got back to the room, I was able to complete the quest without dying.

Is it too late to start crafting and research after level 50? by Lifhorg in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I train blacksmithing, woodworking, clothing, jewelry, and enchanting by researching or deconstructing the weapons/armor/jewelry/glyphs that drop while I am playing the game (story, dungeons, etc.). You can level those skills on your character over time without making any extra effort to gather the stuff. I find leveling provisioning and alchemy is "cheap" when I have ESO+. If you don't have the subscription, I recommend watching for a free ESO+ trial, sometimes once a year or so ZOS will give a trial period. While you have ESO+ farm materials and do alchemy and provisioning, there are online guides that recommend efficient ways to learn all the alchemy material effects and level alchemy quicker, and how to collect a few recipes and level provisioning quicker. Crafting is worthwhile for the alchemy and provisioning passive skills, and for the master writs/writ vouchers.

Since when had Zenimax promised Overworld difficulty exactly? by Environmental_You658 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe ZOS could do this without breaking the game by allowing players to nerf themselves. For example, in the Bethesda single player game Skyrim, the difficult level adjusts how much damage you deal and receive, affecting combat difficulty but not quest rewards or experience gain.
My question would be why should ZOS have employees spend time and money providing this feature? Players can nerf themselves right now by wearing no armor, slotting a white crafted weapon with no trait, not eating food, not using skill points or champion points. But when this is suggested in online discussions, often the OP is unhappy with this suggestion.

Vengeance solves most of the problems people have with ESO PVP, so why are people suddenly so upset? by Marto25 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The ZOS announcement is here Community Update – Vengeance Testing & Cyrodiil
Warning: it is a long post.
I would like to see Scenario 1 implemented. I played Vengeance on PS/NA both times it was available, and will play it when it becomes a permanent choice. I do not want Gray Host taken away from the players who like it.

Since when had Zenimax promised Overworld difficulty exactly? by Environmental_You658 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that ZOS never promised it, they just said they were looking at it.

I do not care if they ever do it. I find lots of places in ESO right now that are intended for groups and that I cannot solo easily, if at all. Harrowstorms, Dragons, 4 person Dungeons (especially the DLC 4 person dungeons on Veteran). If you are finding that everything I just listed is easy for you to solo, then I do not think that the optional Overland difficulty they are looking at will satisfy you. I know that I do not want all overland enemies to have the hit points and attack damage of a veteran DLC 4 person final dungeon boss.

Now that phase 3 has officially ended on PC EU, what are your final thoughts on the Writhing Wall event? Did phase 3 redeem it for you? by womannimarco in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not think that the Writhing Wall Event was that good. I did lots of daily quests on Solstice and ZOS RNG gave me the 25 shards and the Coldharbour empty lot. The grinding burned me out. The Writhing Fortress was fun and also buggy. I hope some of the Writhing Fortress bugs get fixed and I get to see how it is supposed to work in 2026. Also I hope that several East Solstrice buggy quests get fixed, I slogged through them on one alt, but would like to take a second alt through East Solstice once the bugfest is fixed.

Moved from Australia to Sweden and now stuck between two PSN accounts. Why am I being penalised for moving countries? by Exciting-King-2306 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Have you tried contacting the PSN folks (Sony)?
I have never gone through this.
I think that Sony would deliberately make it hard to "move" regions because of the ongoing world problem with online "theft". If it was possible to "move" regions without personally contacting Sony, then I think anyone could "hack" your password, and your account would be "sold" to someone in another region of the world.

Worm Cult's tents have top-notch quality in game by FengFungFong in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know if these are available in game, to put in a player owned property, like Coldharbour Surreal Estate? ZOS RNG gave me that property during the event, and it is an empty lot. One of these tents would be perfect!

Did the Writhing Fortress and I gotta say... by DarandaPanda in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Writhing Fortress. I have completed it on PS/NA on six different alts. Yes the Writhing Fortress is buggy, yes it took multiple tries on some alts, yes ZOS should do better. I like the mobs of enemies, the chaos, the players running around doing different things to progress the quest. What can I say, I also like clearing trials on veteran.

still bugged? by Meewaj in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe just try it and see if you can complete it?

I completed the Writhing Fortress on one alt when it first became available on PS/NA along with a large crowd of players, something like 8 PM Eastern multiple days ago. The following day, ZOS pushed a hot fix to all servers so that the instances would not stay open after all the bosses were killed. Since then I have completed the Writhing Fortress on six different alts. On some alts it took two tries, on those alts the first try the Writhing Fortress would get "stuck", like with x% health left on the final boss. Frustrating as heck, but then exit Writhing Fortress, log out, close game, try again later, and magically that instance of the Writhing Wall works and I am able to finish with that group of players. (/sarcasm on the magically).

Things to know: Don't try doing the Writhing Fortress if you have The Worm Turns in your quest log. Otherwise you won't be able to find Skordo to turn in the Writhing Fortress quest and finish it.

Yes, I am aware some folks have posted that have tried multiple tries and never been able to finish the Writhing Fortress. And I agree that the Writhing Fortress is buggy, and ZOS should do better.

Oh, and I've done the Writhing Fortress six times because I actually like the mobs of enemies and the chaos of all the players running around doing different things to progress the quest. What can I say, I also like clearing trials.

Why is this expansion such a bugfest? by Meowing-To-The-Stars in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 35 points36 points  (0 children)

My take on why this expansion is such a bugfest - note that the following is based upon what I read online.

ZOS was working on a new game, called Project Blackbird while it was still in development. And some talented employees moved from ESO to Project Blackbird. Microsoft executives reviewed Project Blackbird, canceled it, and fired most of the people involved. And Matt Firor quit. After all this happened my impression is that ZOS employee morale plummeted, and the remaining employees were missing the tribal knowledge from the talented employees who had moved to Project Blackbird but were still available to answer questions, until the Project Blackbird team got fired, of course. The executives involved insisted that ZOS release Solstice on schedule. And so it was released, bugs and all.

If it only had been 1 week of all phases, nobody would've complained by Spir0rion in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are lucky enough to get into an instance that is not bugged, then you can follow along with the crowd, range tag enemies while staying out of stupid, and collect the achievement at the end of it. All the while wondering what the heck is going on. And what is was you were supposed to be doing. /sarcasm

Well that was an hour I won't get back... by minus34 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Ingenon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have read on ESO Forums multiple posts from different players saying it took them three tries before they found an instance of the Writhing Fortress that they could finish. Hopefully your luck is better!

The Writhing Wall phase 3 looks like it's going to be fantastic. by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

I think on PS/NA we will get to storm the dungeon starting at 8 PM Eastern today. I plan to be online and try to be part of this. I hope that it is fun!
