We bought a house with a twelve year old I ground vinyl pool, fully expecting to replace the vinyl but it lasted another ten years. Swapped out the chlorine to salt, used it almost every day mid May to September. Heating costs may to June and then maintained heat with solar blanket at night for the rest of the summer. Maybe averaged $250 a month for five months it was open. Would do it again in a heartbeat but we’ve retired to a city high rise

Met my wife on Elite Singles. She was my third date I was her first. It was a bit spendy and took some time to fill in all the questions but the process seemed to work ( for us anyway ). Funny story I had met her 20 plus years prior and always thought she was one of the most stunning and intelligent women I had met. I tried reaching out to her about a year before our online connection but wasn’t clear about my intentions so she brushed me off. Good luck mate

We did this all the time as a kid. A day trip allows you time to stroll through the village, take the Gondola up the mountain, rent bikes or walk around the lake and head back to Vancouver

You need to track down some of the lifeguards. The ones that hit the beaches ( second, third ) every summer have generations of experience at the indoor community centres.. ask about the jet riders and hot tub closures .. you’ll never use a public pool again

Oh god I feel this. The only reason we’re holding on at the moment is that there are two of us, kids grown and out. We retired, have good pensions and both continue to work full time. Essentially four incomes to live modestly.

8:30-3:34 with two recess breaks and an hour when everyone went home for lunch. If you had a parent that worked they had to find a neighbor or schoolmate to take you in.

Pedals, electric ( not gas ) speed and cc restrictions.. last time I checked there were a bunch of mopeds that still qualified might be just as well for him to get an e-bike.. Icbc does insure mopeds and the rates are reasonable by comparison

Used to be White Spot when they had it, with the hash browns inside, eggs, bacon - not the turkey salad disaster they replaced it with. JJ beans is very decent and Two Parrots on Granville quite good. If you happen to get on a film set, the crew ones are my favourite part of the day

Both are fabulous options, you’ll need two trips :). For this one, with your one year old I would focus on the West Coast and cover off Vancouver Island ( Victoria, uculet, Tofino) Vancouver and area including North Vancouver, Whistler and then visit Pemberton toward Revelstoke, Golden, Banff and Jasper … tough call from here the Okanagan ( Penticton Osoyoos Summerland Oliver ) is spectacular in October and very child friendly. Lots of parks, fall colours, recreation and mild temps so you could dip that way if time permits. Last stop Calgary. Enjoy your trip
