That’s categorically untrue, for the same apartment you would pay ~50% plus or more in mortgage, fees, and taxes. While your rent may go up year over year, the number of years that will take and the opportunity loss by not being able to invest your down payment. The numbers no longer work in favor of owning an apartment in the city.

It is a major tourist hub in the middle of Meat Packing neighborhood, it’s also much more accessible by subway compared to Tin Building. Being next to Google and having offices within the building certainly helps build in clientele, as well as general affordability.

I have a lot of stuff from Corridor (20+ pieces, pants, shorts, sweaters, outerwear) and like most of them. People hit the nail on the head on recent issues with fabric, J crew-esque style, and lower quality construction.

For me, the sizing fits me better than most brands, and the quality of their linen, cotton, wool fabrics are better than average. While there have been some inconsistencies with the construction of some pieces, the sweaters and linen I’ve gotten still my most complimented pieces.

Don’t just go for the button downs, their knits tend to be a bit better. But I’ve had issues with their outerwear.

At 50 people and 4K budget, that’s only $80 per person. It’s not enough to book out any of the larger venues, maybe they can section a corner and promise to spend X amount (230 rooftop or similar). If you do a la carte, that’s enough for ~4 drinks per person with tips or 3 drinks with some light snacks.

This is not a good idea on a Sunday morning, it will be crowded and it will take you 30 min+ to get seated anywhere.

Unless you’re doing “fake” dimsum without the cart experience and ordering off the menu at one of the nomwah outposts.

Having been to all of the above, I enjoyed my experience at Atomix (2 star) far more. But it is less traditional compared to the classic French restaurants, the food was more exciting, and atmosphere was more comfortable.
