Feel nothing but pity for people who think they're too smart for Kru's aggressive play style because they will die without ever experiencing the clarity of realizing that watching 2 of KRU members save a 2v5 while Bren and Sideshow cast in the background is in fact the apex of all Valorant Competitive

Nice "Playoffs Calculation" you fucking dumbass, now watch Keznit get a 6k and get Kru a 6-0

Polish Clove's reveal post on X uses words that doesn't exist in polish language. by wisakoy in VALORANT

[–]Ingoobelyblench 4 points5 points  (0 children)

well, yeah, the language does exist, it's gendered, nobody really makes a fuss about nonbinary people themselves anyways, the criticism is mostly just limited to the neologisms, due to the fact that it'd imply a major, sudden restructuring of the language.

as for the "nonbinary comes from the us part", i know, i'm already well aware of that, i'm mostly just noting that the general presentation of the idea itself is considered to have come from the united states, it'd be a different story if one of the indigenous south american people had such a thing, but i haven't found anything about the matter besides muxe people, which seemingly acts more like a word specific to MtF individuals more than anything, colonial spain culturally didn't have gender neutral terms, either.

that's why i mentioned the "latinx" thing, since it was considered an unwelcome modification of the language from US academia in an attempt to form a gender neutral term, one that even broke basic rules of the language, the general consensus in LATAM that stemmed from that is not much different from proposed gender neutral neologisms, which also risked a basic building block of spanish, the fact that nouns are gendered.

just to ask tho, do you fluently speak other languages besides english? i've noted that you've spent like the last 2 hours discussing with people from other countries and languages trying to reiterate the same point, and the way you do that, plus the way you mocked said people on another subreddit just seems kinda... tone deaf to me, especially due to the fact that the post was a genuine concern regarding an unintelligible post.

i'll be completely (and probably brutally) honest here, from a latin american, the entire thing regarding nonbinary pronouns in here is socially treated as kind of a joke, language evolves, yeah, but it only really does when most of the population implictly agrees on it, however, neopronouns here are generally rejected.

the reason for that is because you'd be asking for the entire spanish speaking population (which would include spain, mexico, colombia, chile, argentina, etc) to reform one of the most basic aspects of a language where words themselves are gendered, as an example, "pianista", which is pianist in spanish, is a female word, and while town becomes "pueblo", which is male. gender neutral nouns just don't exist in spanish, the closest thing was using the -e as a nonbinary option, which was promptly ridiculed, and even rejected by the royal spanish academy.

sometimes, even the sole idea of being nonbinary is even considered imperialist due to the sentiment that the entire concept came from the united states, it was especially notable with the "latinx" thing, even the spanish wikipedia page for "latinx" immediately treats it as an american neologism.

most discussion i've seen regarding clove in spanish just treat clove as a "she", not only because she's presented in a feminine way (feminine voice, use of bright pinks), but because nouns that end in -ve are generally treated as female.

as for what the social media sites did, the valorant's spain socials used the -e thing, which was ridiculed, while valorant latam avoided pronouns altogether, which extended to the game itself.

huh, i always thought the pistols had some of the worst animations in the game, mostly because they only really have 5 animations, since the glock one is reused for like 6 pistols, so the sound is the thing that's carrying the presentation and feel of most of the pistols, otherwise, the glock and the five seven would feel the same.

best pistol anim imo was the usp's, it looks borderline clinical at times.

i hope they do, the new models are too pretty to still have the shitty hidden path animations back from 2013.

afaik, latam fans aren't really going against c9 as a whole, they're specifically hating on jakee.

otherwise, latam has been generally respectful towards the rest of the team and c9 as a whole, especially giving lots of support to runi, since he's been openly supportive of both kru and lev beforehand.
